Introducing Shirokaneya Yokohama-Style Iekei Ramen

Hello, this is Aikero, writer for [Sarukuma].

Today we’re featuring Matsubase-machi in Uki City‘s
[Shirokaneya Yokohama-Style Iekei Ramen].

On the same property, you’ll find [Patisserie KEN], which we’ve previously featured on Sarukuma.
It’s a wonderful cake shop, so be sure to stop by while you’re in the area! (^^)/Take Route 3 toward Uto, turn at Matsubara intersection toward Matsubase, and drive straight past Uto City shopping center.
Follow the road and you’ll see the shop come into view.
It’s right along the main road, so it’s easy to find! (^○^)There’s a vending machine right in front of the shop.
The parking lot is accessed from the right side of the shop, going toward the back.
This diagram is posted both inside and outside the shop, so check it if you’re unsure.
The lot is spacious with clearly marked lines, making it easy to park.
There’s plenty of space, so you don’t need to worry about it being full. There’s a meal ticket machine at the entrance—purchase your ticket there before being seated (a common system at Japanese ramen shops).

Ramen — 780 yen
[Limited Time] Soupless Inspired Ramen — 980 yen
Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles) — 900 yenRight in front of the kitchen, you’ll find counter seating—perfect for solo travelers who want to watch the chefs at work.Behind the counter seats, there are box-style booth seats.
The restroom is located at the back of the booth seating area.
Here’s what the table seating looks like.
The whole interior is clean—the floor and tables aren’t sticky at all, which is always a relief! (^○^)Cold water is already set on each table.
Free toppings and chopped onions are available on the table—add them to your bowl as you like (^^)/
There are even separate spoons for before and after use—a thoughtful touch!Collect 10 stamps on the loyalty card and you’ll earn one free bowl of ramen!
Children get to pick one item from the dagashi (traditional Japanese candy) corner—either a snack or a small toy ♪
Kids often get bored of toys quickly or don’t find one they like, so being able to choose a snack instead is really appreciated (●^o^●)
They have Bumbo seats available for babies and toddlers. When you hand over your meal ticket, the staff will ask about your preferences: miso or salt base, noodle firmness, and broth richness.
These options are also posted on the wall, so feel free to customize your perfect bowl!I don’t usually pair ramen with rice, but the rice set looks tempting (●^o^●) — and yes, in Japan it’s quite common to enjoy ramen with a side of rice!

Shirokaneya Yokohama-Style Iekei Ramen — Recommended Menu

This time I tried both miso and salt (shio) flavors!
This was actually my first time eating Iekei ramen, so I was a bit surprised — spinach? Salt that tastes like tonkotsu? (^_^;) lol
Please don’t tease me for going in without doing my homework (>_<) lol

So apparently, Iekei ramen is defined by its tonkotsu (pork bone) base soup, topped with nori seaweed, spinach, chashu pork, and thick noodles!

I chose standard settings for noodle firmness, broth richness, and oil level — and the result was a lovely thick, rich soup with nice body.
The thick noodles have great elasticity and chew, making it a truly satisfying bowl (^○^)

Adding the chopped onions tones down the richness a bit, so try them if you want a lighter taste ♪
They have children’s tableware available too.
My little one is a small eater and we usually share, so I don’t have a photo of the kids’ ramen, but at just 400 yen it’s a really reasonable option (^^)/

This is truly a family-friendly Iekei ramen shop!
Shirokaneya Yokohama-Style Iekei Ramen has also opened a long-awaited second location on Hamasen (^^)/
Definitely give it a try when you’re in the area! (●^o^●)

[Patisserie KEN] Once you see and taste their colorful, luxurious Pudding à la Mode, you’ll be hooked. (Matsubase, Matsubase-machi, Uki City)
