I’m Binako, a writer for SaruKuma

Today, I’m excited to introduce you to a charming little patisserie located in Matsubase, Uki City, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“Patisserie KEN”.

I first heard about this place from a friend who used to live in Matsubase — it’s been one of her favorite cake shops for years!

There’s convenient parking right in front of the shop.

Step inside, and you’ll find rows upon rows of beautiful cakes in a wonderful variety. ♪

Choco Marron — 145 yen
Sweet Potato Cake — 150 yen

Strawberry Shortcake — 350 yen

Pudding à la Mode — 430 yen
Coffee Jelly — 320 yen

A favorite among kids:
Smooth Pudding (Nameraka Purin) — 250 yen

Roll cakes are also available.

Here’s the bottom line:
every single item is wonderfully reasonable.
The approachable prices make it so easy to indulge!

You’ll also find a lovely selection of baked sweets and焼き菓子 (yakigashi).

They also accept custom decoration cake orders, making this the perfect spot for birthdays and special occasions! ♪
