Today I’m excited to introduce you to
“ASO MILK FACTORY”,
located in Ori, Aso City — one of Kumamoto Prefecture’s most scenic regions.

Originally renovated from “Hana Asobi” this past July, the facility celebrated its grand opening on October 1st with the addition of a brand-new cheese workshop and restaurant!

I had the pleasure of attending the opening ceremony.
There was even a parade of JOHN DEERE tractors, and after opening, kids were thrilled climbing aboard for photo ops! ♫

Early visitors received a stylish hat as a welcome gift! ♡

And here’s what’s newly opened —
The cheese workshop! These wheels are aged for a full year.
You can watch the cheese being made right before your eyes — a fascinating glimpse into traditional craftsmanship.

Now, on to what I’d been most looking forward to — the restaurant! ♡
A beautiful wine cellar greets you at the entrance, lined with bottles waiting to be enjoyed.
A look at the kitchen and counter area.
The dining space offers both table and counter seating.
There are also charming basket-style private booths — perfect for an intimate meal.
Even the lights are shaped like ASO MILK bottles! So stylish~
Here’s a delightful surprise — instead of water, you’re served fresh ASO MILK at your seat! What a luxurious welcome!

Recommended Menu at ASO MILK FACTORY

Here’s a look at the menu.
All orders are placed via tablet at every seat — convenient even for international visitors.
Four pasta varieties are on offer.
Except for the “Karasumi & Pistachio,” all dishes feature the farm’s own milk and cheese.

Four pizza options too — each one celebrating local Aso ingredients.
Side dishes — the yogurt sauce option looks especially intriguing.

Soft drinks here. The ASO MILK yogurt drinks are absolutely guaranteed to delight.

A dedicated kids’ menu is also available — great news for families.

Three sweet treats round out the menu.

Course meals are constructed by selecting your favorites from the à la carte menu — a flexible, tailored dining experience.

This visit, I ordered the “ASO MILK Quattro Formaggi (1,650 yen)” pizza
and the “Mushroom & Bacon Cream Sauce Pasta (1,100 yen)”.
The pizza was wonderfully fragrant with cheese and beautifully mellow in flavor.
A drizzle of honey transforms the taste — definitely worth trying both ways!
The mushrooms are finely ground and blended right into the cream.
The earthy mushroom aroma fills the table — irresistibly appetizing.
A wonderfully creamy dish where the deep mushroom flavor truly shines.

For payment, you take this tag to the register. Each one is handcrafted by President Abe himself — a lovely personal touch.

Currently, only lunch service is offered, but dinner service is planned for the near future.
Once evening hours begin, imagine pairing fine wine with exquisite cuisine while soaking in the Aso atmosphere — absolute bliss!

Of course, I picked up some cheese to bring home as a souvenir! ♫
