Today I’m excited to introduce you to
Iwano, Ueki-machi, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City, where you’ll find
“Beckham” — a hidden gem of a bakery.

Located right in front of the Kita Ward Office, this is Ueki Town’s beloved neighborhood bakery (^-^)/

Parking is conveniently available right in front of the shop.

Inside, the kind-hearted owner was busy baking up fresh, delicious bread (^o^)

Recommended Menu Items

Beckham’s signature shokupan (Japanese milk bread) holds its own against today’s trendy premium loaves.

Hotel Shokupan: 432 yen

Brown Rice Shokupan: 432 yen

Soft, pillowy, and infused with the rich aroma of butter — these loaves are absolutely irresistible ☆

This time, I picked up the Carrot Shokupan for 200 yen ☆

Usually I go for the Hotel Shokupan, but
on this particular day, this lovely loaf seemed to be calling my name (^o^)

With its gentle carrot-orange hue,
this bread isn’t sold at the bakery itself — you can find it at the nearby Wekkii shop (^-^)/

You can also discover a wide variety of their breads at the local Michi-no-Eki (roadside station),
so be sure to grab one if you’re passing through (^-^)/

Cloud-soft — so fluffy you’ll worry about holding it too tightly.
Even eaten plain, it has a delicate natural sweetness that’s truly delightful (^o^)

There’s also a wonderful selection of Japanese sweet buns (kashi-pan) that kids absolutely love.

The animal-shaped cookies for 162 yen make the perfect afternoon snack (^-^)

And don’t miss the crispy rusks for 130 yen — highly recommended! (^-^)/
