Introducing TENDREMENT

Hello, travelers! It’s Mido 🌳, writer for [SaruKuma], here to share another tasty Kumamoto discovery with you.

Today I’m taking you to Miyoshi in Koshi City,
home to TENDREMENT (Tandoruman).

A friend tipped me off — “It’s a popular bakery that relocated all the way from Fukuoka!” —
so I headed over on a weekday morning around 10 a.m., excitement and all ✨

Tandoruman moved to Kumamoto back in 2018, making this their fifth year here ✨

Here’s the storefront! The baguette logo is impossible to miss 👀
And in we go!
Step inside Tandoruman and a row of tongs greets you on the right —

and beyond that, an absolutely stunning lineup of breads!

So many savory and sweet buns to choose from!
Being my first visit, I had a hard time deciding. Everything looked tempting! The hard-crust European-style breads looked amazing too ✨
Beautiful baguettes!
I was already imagining them paired with soup or fish for dinner…
They had sandwiches too! Their shokupan (Japanese milk bread) selection is impressive too.
“Marble Nama Shokupan 601” — a swirl of VH cocoa and rich Takachiho cream butter
“M-2-12” — their signature shokupan, refined over 25 years
Plus the “Aso Milk Toast” and “Kyushu Mochi Wheat Toast”.
The Aso Milk Toast comes in a small loaf — just the right size for kids!
The “Goku — Premium Nama Shokupan” is all about ingredient quality ✨The “Goku” loaf is made with these carefully selected ingredients!

With so many varieties on offer, you’re sure to find your new favorite shokupan 🥰

They had buns, too!
Stuff them with ham and cheese for a special breakfast at your hotel or rental.

Tandoruman also has a coffee machine inside!
Besides coffee drinks, you can grab cocoa, corn potage, or café-chocolat.

Cold drinks were available as well!

There was an eat-in space, too!
Great for digging into your bread right after buying it ♪

《About parking》

Parking is right next to the shop!
There are 2 spaces directly beside the bakery, plus another 7 spaces nearby — handy for road-trippers 🚙

Recommended Picks at TENDREMENT

From the gorgeous lineup, here’s what I picked up this time!

・Shrimp Grill Sandwich — 300 yen
・Croque Monsieur — 250 yen
・Ogura Red Bean & Butter Sandwich — 250 yen

Let me walk you through each one ♪
<Shrimp Grill Sandwich>
The shrimp were plump and juicy, and packed in generously alongside avocado for a really satisfying bite.
Apparently a favorite among female customers.
The bread itself was so good I polished it off in no time!<Croque Monsieur>
Made with mochi-wheat toast and topped with two kinds of cheese plus a hit of black pepper — totally crave-worthy ✨

Here’s the cross-section ♪
Inside there’s ham and béchamel sauce!
The pepper adds a sharp little kick, and the cheese is wonderful

<Ogura Red Bean & Butter Sandwich>
Look at all that anko (sweet red bean paste) and butter packed inside 🥰

“Look what’s inside!” my little one was showing off, lol
Then they took a huge bite and looked totally blissed out 🥰
I got to share a piece, and the balance of sweet bean paste and butter was just perfect — utterly delicious!

The TENDREMENT (Tandoruman) bakery I’ve shared today
had such an incredible variety, I genuinely couldn’t cover everything.
The melon pan and curry pan looked amazing too ✨

It’s just 1 minute by car or about a 5-minute walk from Miyoshi Station (per Google Maps)!

From Country Park (a great family playground), it’s only 3 minutes by car,
and U-Palace Benten — with its pool and hot springs — is just 4 minutes away by car!

If you’re planning a day trip toward the Koshi area, definitely add this bakery to your route ♪
