A Sarukuma writer visits Miyuki Central Park in Ryutsu Danchi, Minami-ku, Kumamoto City and reports back. We’ve covered family-friendly highlights, access info, and opening hours.

About the Park

Hello there!
This is Ayu-mama, writer for “Sarukuma.”

Today I’m introducing you to a wonderful spot in Ryutsu Danchi, Minami-ku, Kumamoto City:
【Miyuki Central Park】.

This park has parking lots on both sides, making it incredibly easy to access!

This is the parking lot on the Ryutsu Danchi side.

And this one is on the East Bypass road side.

There’s also a vending machine at the Ryutsu Danchi side entrance — perfect for grabbing a cold drink on a hot Kumamoto day.

Restrooms are available too.

They even have a diaper changing table — great news for traveling families with babies!

A friendly note from the park to all visitors.

And there are SO many benches!

Here’s one…

Oh, and another one over here…

They’re set up everywhere you look.

You’ll never have to play “musical chairs” trying to find a spot to sit at this park — there are seriously THAT many benches!

There’s a drinking fountain too.

And you’ll even find a piece of outdoor fitness equipment!

Tucked beside the open ground area, surrounded by cute little trees, you’ll find a fun playground for kids!

A zip line (Tarzan rope)

a set of swings

a sandbox, and a slide — and we saw plenty of families enjoying them all.

The Best Highlight

The absolute must-see feature is the unique structure with triangular openings standing right in the middle of the park.

Can you guess what it is?

It’s a stage-like building that gives off a real Roman Colosseum vibe!

And yes — the restrooms I mentioned earlier are tucked inside this same structure!

It looks like it would be perfect for a game of hide and seek!

My son was bursting with excitement, saying he could play tag-style chase games here!

Miyuki Central Park has a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that sets it apart from your average neighborhood park!
