Today we’re heading to a wonderful spot in Aitsu, Matsushima-machi, Kamiamakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture:
the BBQ Terrace at ‘mio camino AMAKUSA’.

Right next to the well-known ‘Resola Terrace’, a brand-new facility called ‘mio camino AMAKUSA’ has opened, and we dropped by to check out their BBQ Terrace. Today we’re focusing on the BBQ experience! \(^o^)/

Here’s the spacious tent at mio camino AMAKUSA!
Each table comes with its own gas grill, so there’s zero setup required — such a relief for travelers (^-^)v

No reservations needed and you can come empty-handed — this large BBQ tent is perfect for casual visits (^-^)v
Because it’s a big covered tent, you can enjoy your meal regardless of the weather (^-^)

In winter, retractable curtains keep the chill out so you can dine in comfort.
Blankets are also available, which is a nice touch when sea breezes get cool (^-^)

First, head to the reception, place your order, and pay in advance — easy! >^_^<

All-You-Can-Eat Oysters (90 min): 2,800 yen

Easy Meat Set: 2,000 yen

Oysters 1kg Set: 1,500 yen

My son couldn’t wait to start grilling — and we parents couldn’t wait to start eating!

We tried the oysters two ways — grilled and steamed!

There are written instructions on the table for grilling and eating oysters, but the friendly staff are also happy to walk you through it (^^)

Starting with the meat \(^o^)/

Even children can grill their own food easily, making BBQ a fun and tasty experience for the whole family (^-^)v

Both the beef and pork were so delicious that we found ourselves competing for every last bite (^^;

The grilled corn turned a beautiful golden brown too —

They offer a variety of seasonings — yakiniku sauce, lemon salt sauce, citrus spice salt, and more (^^)

The ‘salt rice ball’ that comes with the Easy Meat Set was made with such delicious rice!

Creamy and plump — there’s truly no better word than ‘amazing’!

Firm yet juicy, with the umami of the oyster wonderfully concentrated — pure bliss (*^^*)

The meat and seafood are excellent on their own, but the sweeping ocean view in front of you takes the whole experience to another level (^з^)-☆
