Both shops sell cookies, but the styles are completely different—why not enjoy a fun cookie-hopping tour?♪Heading from the Tenmei area toward Okukoga Elementary School, keep an eye out for a flag and signboard along the roadside.
Turn there and go straight ahead (^^)/The Cookie Yoshimura sign comes into view right in front of you!
This is where the famous cookie vending machine is located.There’s parking right in front of the vending machine.
Just be careful, as the road runs right behind you (^.^)There’s a notice posted on the door!
A cookie vending machine really is unusual—it makes you eager to seek one out (●＾o＾●)Here’s what it looks like inside.
The system is similar to the egg vending machines you might see around rural Japan.And it’s not just cookies—there are cakes available too!
The photo labels make everything easy to understand (^○^)Here’s the cookie menu.
From classic chocolate chip to cornflake-style varieties—there’s plenty to choose from!
Need a receipt? You can pick one up here.
There’s a button right next to the cellophane tape.
Press it to break 10,000 or 5,000 yen bills, exchange coupons for pizza, or report any vending machine issues.

And those little memo papers turned out to be…heartfelt letters from customers!!

You really get the sense this is a beloved local shop.This vending machine accepts only 500-yen coins, so if you only have 1,000-yen notes, you’ll need to break them into change.

There’s even a step stool for shorter visitors—the level of thoughtful, anticipatory hospitality (omotenashi) here is wonderful.

Cookie Yoshimura Recommended Menu

Here are just a few examples—you’ll find cookie-and-cookie pairings,

cookie-and-cupcake combinations with two cupcakes, and many other delightful pairings.
Most items are 500 yen, with some priced at 900 or 1,000 yen.

For 1,000-yen items, insert two 500-yen coins. For 900-yen items, also insert two 500-yen coins.
For the 900-yen items, the 100-yen change is conveniently placed inside the case.

After much deliberation, I wanted to sample a bit of everything, so I went with the mixed cookies and cupcake combination (500 yen)!
Every purchase comes with a coupon ticket too.
Collect 10 of them and you can exchange them for a homemade pizza (●＾o＾●)
The cookies came in vanilla, black sesame, and cocoa as shown, and there were 6 cupcakes inside.
The little bear faces are absolutely adorable♪

The texture is delightfully crisp, with a gentle, rustic sweetness.
Simple as they are, the black sesame cookies have a wonderfully rich aroma—truly delicious (^○^)

The cupcakes are wonderfully dense and packed with flavor—a nostalgic, homestyle taste that warms the heart.
You can really feel the love and care of handmade baking in every bite.

I’m definitely coming back to collect more coupons—I have to try that handmade pizza!
