Today, I’m excited to introduce you to
Toshima, Higashi Ward, Kumamoto City, home to
“Wokashina Gelato Decoan”.

Decoan
The name might evoke anko (sweet red bean paste), but it’s actually a gelato shop!

There’s parking for about 5 cars right in front of the shop, so you can park comfortably.^^

The shop sits along Route 443, and you can spot it easily by its bright blue exterior ( *´艸｀)

Okra

Yes, that’s okra for sale!
It wasn’t available during this visit, but to be clear,
this isn’t okra-flavored gelato — it’s just regular okra. The familiar green vegetable.

Here’s the menu:

Single — 350 yen
Double — 400 yen
Deco-mori (Deco Special) — 480 yen
Nankyoku ♡ Su (Antarctic Style) — 550 yen
Gelawassant — 500 yen

You can choose between cup or cone (^^♪

By the way, they also offer shakes and smoothies.

I tasted nearly all of them.

After much deliberation, I went with:

Bonus Chocolate

That’s right!
They kindly added a bonus scoop — so generous and thoughtful!

The milk gelato was refreshingly light, yet the rich, pure milk flavor came through beautifully.

Creamy and rich, but never heavy or cloying.

The natural milk flavor truly elevated my happiness levels.

And this one — I’m completely obsessed.

Absolutely incredible.
The richness is on another level.

Smooth, velvety texture with the deep, concentrated flavor of pistachio bursting through — I nearly fainted from joy.

If you’re a pistachio lover, you absolutely have to try this.

Because you’ll faint too.

I’m so glad I discovered this incredible gelato shop.
