About Kusunoshokodo Park

Today I’d like to introduce a hidden gem located in Kusunomachi, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City:
[Kusunoshokodo Park].

Tucked just off Route 3, this quiet little park called ‘Kusunoshokodo Park’ offered the perfect setting for some unhurried, quality time playing with the kids. Let me share our experience with you (*^o^)／＼(^-^*)

It’s nestled in a residential neighborhood, with an elementary school close by!

Although it faces a residential street, traffic was minimal during our visit.
(Delivery vehicles do pass through occasionally, so it’s still important to keep an eye on little ones to make sure they don’t run into the road!)

Why We Recommend Kusunoshokodo Park

At first glance, the kids were like, “Wait… a park? Where?” The entrance is so easy to miss! (((^^;)

Of course, every park needs a slide! The moment they spotted it, the kids were off and running, climbing up in a flash.

The slide is a bit on the tall side for very young children, and the steps are also fairly high (^-^)v
But with a parent’s hand for support, even smaller kids can enjoy it safely (^_-)

The animal spring rider was as fun as ever — a timeless favorite (^-^)v

Kusunoshokodo Park has two benches, one on each side of the park — the perfect (and only!) resting spots for moms and dads who’ve been keeping up with their little ones (^_-)

There’s also one large tree that provides welcome shade on sunny days (*^.^*)

While this isn’t a park packed with massive playground equipment, kids can find endless ways to play here — spotting bugs, catching them, observing them. Their imaginations turn this little space into a world of adventure (*^o^)／＼(^-^*)

On this particular day, the kids caught ants, grasshoppers, ladybugs, and butterflies (^^)
