About Nagomi Onsen Yasuragi-no-Yu Shifuku Family Bath

Hello, this is Aikero, a writer for [SaruKuma].

Today I’m introducing a wonderful spot in Ogawa-machi, Uki City:
[Nagomi Onsen Yasuragi-no-Yu Shifuku Family Bath].
Many of you might already know this place!
It’s that famous hot spring right next to AEON Mall Uki~ ♫

If you thought, “I go to AEON Mall Uki all the time and I knew about the onsen, but they have private family baths too?” — yes, they really do!

Now that the weather is getting cooler, it’s the perfect season for a soothing soak in a hot spring.
I honestly can’t count how many times I’ve visited the large public bath and the family baths here — it’s one of my personal favorite onsen.

This time, I’m focusing on the private family baths! ♪
There’s a big sign along Route 3 you can’t miss.
There’s plenty of parking too!
If you’re heading specifically to the family baths, I recommend skipping the front parking near the main onsen building and parking in the lot at the back, on the AEON Mall Uki side.

You can reach the family baths from inside the main onsen building, but since the family bath entrance is at the back, parking on this side gets you there faster ♫
Look for this sign as your landmark.
The restrooms are located outside, right next to the family bath entrance.
As is traditional in Japan, you take off your shoes when entering the building. The interior is filled with the warm feel of natural wood.
The long hallway is so inviting you might be tempted to run down it — but please resist that urge (^_^;)
By the way, if you turn left at the very end of the hall in the photo, there’s a passage that connects to the main onsen building.
The reception desk is right in front of the shoe lockers.

Reservations aren’t accepted, but I always call ahead to check how busy they are (^^)/
The phone number for the family baths is different from the main onsen, so please use the number below for inquiries about the family bath availability.
tel: 090-2858-6048
There are 10 private bath rooms in total.
I visited on the middle day of a 3-day weekend, so all rooms were full — but when I called to check, they said one would open up in about 20 minutes, so I went ahead and visited! ♪
The water is free-flowing natural hot spring (gensen kakenagashi), and the tub is freshly drained and refilled for every guest — such a nice touch (●^o^●)
Don’t forget to pull the plug to drain the bath before you leave.

Why We Recommend Nagomi Onsen Yasuragi-no-Yu Shifuku Family Bath

I might have snapped this photo a bit too early haha!
The bathing area is also generously decked out in beautiful wood — so atmospheric ♪

The water temperature was around 40°C (104°F).
It was a comfortable temperature that my kids could ease right into.
Open the window and it transforms into a semi-open-air bath (^^)/
The combination of crisp cool air and warm spring water is absolutely heavenly!Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all provided!
So you can come empty-handed and still enjoy your soak ♪
The changing area is in the same space as the bath itself.
There’s no air conditioning, but there is an electric fan. There’s also a vanity area.
Hair dryers are available to borrow at the front desk ♪
Located right next to AEON Mall Uki and along Route 3 — easy access whether you’re driving or shopping! ♪
Why not wrap up your weekend outing with a relaxing family soak in the hot spring? (#^.^#)

The main onsen building also has a local goods shop and a salt sauna — a rare find in public bath houses!
Those are highly recommended too ♫
