Today I’m introducing a wonderful spot located in
Suizenji, Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City:
“PANYA Ashiya”.

This shokupan (Japanese milk bread) bakery just opened today, and there was already a long line forming before the doors even opened!

The parking lot is conveniently located right next to the shop. There’s a clear sign so you won’t miss it!

What sets Ashiya’s shokupan apart is their commitment to:

Since they don’t use eggs, honey, or margarine, the bread is safe even for babies! ♪

The menu boards even feature charming wood-burned designs!

You can choose between two varieties: “Premium” (810 yen) and “Select” (702 yen).

On opening day, only the “Premium” was available, but the “Select” goes on sale starting the 23rd — something to look forward to! ♪

They also sell jam (648 yen) — the perfect partner for your fresh-baked shokupan!

I quickly tried the “Premium” loaf, paired with “Honey Butter” jam.
