About the Shop

Hello there! It’s Maru, your friendly writer from Sarukuma.
Today I’m taking you to Jin, Mifune Town, Kamimashiki District, Kumamoto Prefecture, to visit “Mon Paris”.

This place is famous for serving delicious cakes at unbelievably reasonable prices, but their burgers have built up a serious following too — so today, I came hunting for burgers!

Burgers at a cake shop? I had my doubts as I drove out to find the place!
“Is there really a shop in such a peaceful countryside spot?” I wondered — and there it was!
There’s a spacious parking lot in the back that’s super easy to use, so I’d recommend parking there.

What an adorable little cake shop! ✨

The cheesecakes had already sold out by the time I arrived (next time!)…
Their signature items are cheesecake and apple pie, both available as a whole cake for just 600 yen — what a steal! Seriously, I couldn’t believe my eyes 😆 No wonder they’re so popular!

It turns out the cake factory is right next door to the shop, and being factory-direct is what makes these prices possible.

For the kids, how about cream puffs for 150 yen or the adorable Dinosaur Chocolat with a dinosaur chocolate topping for 300 yen? 👦👧

There’s also a great selection of cookies and baked goods at very reasonable prices — perfect as little souvenirs to take home (^O^)

Normally the shop has cafe seating where you can enjoy your cakes inside, but due to COVID-19 restrictions during my visit, indoor dining wasn’t available…

The terrace seating out front was open for dining though.

Here’s the burger menu! Plain burgers start from 700 yen.
The lineup is so extensive you could honestly call this place a burger joint. Hard to choose! (^O^)

There’s even a daily special burger. Now that’s intriguing! (^ ^)

Mini Burger Party Set: 3,800 yen.
If you order it together with a birthday cake 🎂, you can even get a discount — sounds like the makings of an awesome party! 🎉✨

Note that drinks aren’t included with sets — they’re charged separately.

This time, I went with the Cheeseburger Set (850 yen) and the Honey Mustard Burger Set (750 yen), plus drinks for an extra 100 yen each, and enjoyed it all on the terrace (^O^)

First up, the classic Cheeseburger 🍔
That ketchup oozing out of the side is seriously appetizing!

The flavor is on par with a specialty burger joint! 😍😍

Don’t underestimate a cake shop’s burger — the patty is meaty, packed with savory flavor, and outrageously delicious! Plus there’s a generous helping of fresh veggies inside 🎶

Next, the Honey Mustard Chicken Burger 🍔
The tang of mustard meets the gentle sweetness of honey, and together they pair perfectly with the crispy chicken 😋 The crisp, fresh lettuce is the perfect finishing touch!

And of course, fries are a must 🍟 Wash it all down with some fizzy soda — pure happiness! (^ ^)

Heads up: burgers are only served from 11:00 to 17:00, so plan your visit accordingly! ✨

I really recommend stopping by — and next time, I’m definitely coming back for the cakes! ＼(^o^)／
