Today I’m introducing a sweet little gem located in Oe, Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City:
YO-sweets.

This is the brand-new sister shop of YOSHI PAN, the beloved low-carb bakery we’ve featured before on Sarukuma. Like its sibling, YO-sweets specializes in low-carbohydrate treats — a true ally for anyone watching their sugar intake while traveling in Japan!

YO-sweets sits right next door to YOSHI PAN, so feel free to use the YOSHI PAN parking lot when you visit.

The pre-opening was on March 25, 2022, and I was so excited that I rushed in the moment the doors opened. Hehe!

I heard new equipment will keep arriving, so the shop is set to evolve even further. I can’t wait to see what comes next!

An adorable lineup of baked goodies is displayed at the counter — perfect for grabbing and enjoying right away.

And here’s the kicker: every single one is low-carb. I’m so happy I might end up buying way too many!

What I love most is that every product clearly displays its carbohydrate content. So thoughtful and helpful!

This makes it incredibly easy for anyone tracking their carb intake to shop with confidence.

The freezer case is packed with even more low-carb sweet creations.

Since they’re frozen, it’s tempting to stock up for later!

This adorable muffin? Just about 7g of carbs.

And this entire pound cake? Only about 60g of carbs per loaf.

These are typically high-carb desserts, but here they come with a stunning 50% to 80% reduction in carbohydrates.

First, my son’s classic favorite — chocolate.
Since this donut is low-carb, I feel totally at ease letting him enjoy one.

He shared a bite, and the moist donut paired with the rich, satisfying chocolate was simply divine.
My son, who usually eats slowly, polished his off in seconds!

The pound cake is loaded with rum-soaked fruits.
The juicy fruity sweetness blends beautifully with the soft, buttery cake — a perfect match.

And here’s the plain muffin.
That perfectly round shape is just adorable!

The sweetness is gentle and never overwhelming — I could honestly eat one after another.
Low-carb baked goods often feel dry, but these are wonderfully moist and fluffy.
