📌 What You’ll Learn in This Article
A Sarukuma writer visits “Yururito” in person and reports back. Price range: from ¥950. We’ve also gathered family-friendly tips, access info, and opening hours.

Hello, travelers!
This is Cho-san, a writer for ≪Sarukuma≫!

Today I’m introducing you to
“Yururito,”
located in Watarokku, Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture.
It’s the white two-story building on the left side as you face it.
There are 4 parking spaces available.
Two spaces are right next to the shop building.

And two more spaces are behind the coin parking lot across the street.

Here’s the shop’s signboard.
Understated and adorable! ♪

The interior is incredibly stylish!
There’s also counter seating facing the window,
so solo travelers can drop in without feeling out of place!
A wonderful spot for taking a relaxing break ♪
The simple yet warm wood-grain atmosphere ties the entire interior together,
and you’ll find yourself wanting to linger.
Children’s chairs are also available.

Recommended Menu

I visited around 2 PM on a weekday for café time,
but the lunch menu had already sold out.
Daily Lunch ¥950
Weekly BOWL Lunch ¥850
Both are limited to just 10 servings each per day,
and they often sell out early, so making a reservation in advance is a great idea!
(Reservations are only available for the 11:00 and 11:30 slots.)

I had the Cake Plate of the Day ¥680 (Tofu Cheesecake)
For an additional ¥200, I made it a drink set and ordered an iced café au lait.
It has a rich cheese flavor and a moist texture,
yet thanks to the tofu, it doesn’t feel heavy at all—
it just melts in your mouth and is absolutely delicious! ♪
The magic word “tofu” in the dessert world
makes any guilt simply float away with this cheesecake!!
The casually arranged ice cream
and a touch of fresh fruit on the side are lovely additions too ☆

And here’s the Berry Berry Chocolate Parfait ¥900
The toppings practically overflow the glass!!
From the other side—ta-da! A piece of cake sits proudly on top ☆☆
The seasonal parfaits made with plenty of fresh seasonal fruit
are also super popular, making you want to come back regularly.

On the counter between the kitchen and seating area, you’ll find takeaway baked goods as well.
But just like lunch, they tend to sell out quickly…!
The Yururito Sablé ¥210, which also serves as the shop’s logo,
is so cute and would make a lovely little souvenir gift ☆
The shop’s classic favorite, the Cheese Manju ¥160
It may be small, but it’s packed with filling!!
No wonder it has so many repeat customers!!
They often sell out by lunchtime, so I was lucky to grab the very last one!

I couldn’t get one this time, but the Rum Raisin Cheese Manju ¥180,
made with house-made rum raisins, is also a popular item—
perfect for those who enjoy more grown-up flavors!

Whole birthday cakes can also be ordered (several varieties available) with reservations made 3 days in advance,
so I’d love to try one of those someday too!

It’s so reassuring and delightful to know that every elaborate menu item is entirely handmade ♪
It’s a wonderful little spot, so please stop by and experience it for yourself!!
