Introducing Toyomizu no Yu

Today I’m taking you to Shisui-machi in Kikuchi City to visit
[Toyomizu no Yu].

They have public baths too, but today I’ll be focusing on the family baths (kazoku-buro)~ (*^.^*)

Toyomizu no Yu is open from
9:00 AM to 1:00 AM (last entry at midnight).

The parking lot is spacious and easy to navigate!

The entrance has both stairs and a wheelchair-accessible ramp.

As soon as you walk in, you’ll see the bath pricing guide (^-^)v

《Public Bath》
Adults: 380 yen / Elementary students: 150 yen / Toddlers: 80 yen
※Please note that children who are not yet potty-trained cannot use the public bath.

《Family Bath》
Indoor bath only / 50 minutes / 1,600 yen
Indoor bath + outdoor bath / 50 minutes / 1,900 yen

There’s a fantastic variety of baths to choose from~

When all the family baths are full, you can put your name on the waiting list.
You can either wait in the lobby, or if you prefer to wait in your car, the staff will kindly call your mobile phone when a bath becomes available.

The ticket vending machine is right next to the entrance.

You can also buy drinks straight from the vending machine.

Ice cream: 250 yen

Silica water: 100 yen

Ramune (Japanese soda): 150 yen

Coca-Cola: 150 yen, and more!

An ice-cold ramune after a hot bath is the perfect way to refresh!

And this is the cozy lounge and waiting area (*^.^*)

There are even massage chairs and benches along the corridor (^^)
You can relax here while gazing out at the inner garden.
There’s also a restroom toward the back.

And of course, vending machines too~
Just what you need after soaking in a hot bath!!

They even have alcoholic beverages available!

There’s also a great selection of ice cream (^^)

Handmade cup ice cream: 250 yen

Fresh dorayaki (plain or matcha): 230 yen

Sure Pop: 350 yen

They even sell their own original Toyomizu no Yu skincare lotion (1,300 yen) (^^)

Why We Recommend Toyomizu no Yu

Now let’s head to the family bath~ (*^o^)／＼(^-^*)

The traditional Japanese garden creates a peaceful, calming atmosphere.

This time we got family bath number 10, which has an outdoor bath!

The changing room is right inside the entrance (^-^)v

It’s a tatami-floored bath!
The non-slip surface gave me real peace of mind, especially with little ones in tow (*^.^*)

And here’s the outdoor bath!
It’s just the right size, and bathing here with the kids was so much fun ☆

Shampoo and other amenities are provided.

The water at Toyomizu no Yu has a wonderfully silky, smooth feel on the skin. It runs a bit hot, so we added some cool water to get the perfect temperature (^-^)v

The changing room even has air conditioning (50 minutes for 100 yen).
Depending on the season, this is definitely worth using!

And after the bath, of course… ice cream!!

We relaxed in the lounge, watched some TV, and savored our ice cream before heading home (*^o^)／＼(^-^*)
