Introducing Mifune Orchard

Today I’m excited to introduce a fruit-lover’s dream that pops up all over Kumamoto Prefecture in food truck form —
[Mifune Orchard (Mifune Kajuen)].

This sleek, all-black food truck is seriously cool-looking.

You may have already spotted it on Japanese TV — it’s that famous!

On weekdays, the family tends to their orchard, and on weekends they roll out the truck to serve
seasonal fruit grown in Uki City as gorgeous parfaits and smoothies.

This time we caught up with them at +Ba in Nohara, Arao City

during a summer festival pop-up.
+Ba sits along National Route 208 and transforms into a charming weekend-only marché venue.

With benches and tables on site, the whole family can relax here.

Here’s the Mifune Orchard menu:

〇 Koisuru Smoothie (Love Smoothie) — 650 yen

〇 Ice Smoothie — 750 yen

〇 Koisuru Shine Muscat Parfait — 1,200 yen

Since we arrived just past 3 p.m., the Koisuru Shine Muscat Parfait was already sold out.
Thankfully, fresh Shine Muscat grapes were still available on their own.

Look at those Shine Muscat grapes glisten — they look incredible!

The headlining fruits change with the seasons.

In autumn and winter, expect mikan and Shiranui citrus ✨
Honestly, you’ll want to come back every season to try them all.

Mifune Orchard’s Must-Try Menu Item

I went for the Ice Smoothie!

Get this — each cup contains an entire bunch of Kyoho grapes. Talk about luxurious!

The Shine Muscat is unbelievably sweet! I’ve never tasted grapes this sweet before.
They’re seedless and skin-on, so you just pop them in your mouth.

The Kyoho grapes in the smoothie are also blended skin and all, yet there isn’t a hint of bitterness.

The vanilla ice cream on top is fragrant and creamy.
Try letting it melt into the smoothie as you sip — pure magic.

Even my first-grade son was chugging it down at lightning speed!

Because there’s no added syrup — just the natural sweetness of Kyoho grapes — it leaves a refreshingly clean finish.
It’s easy to see why Mifune Orchard has built such a loyal fanbase.
