【Saizeriya】, located in Shimotori, Chuo-ku, Kumamoto City ⭐︎

Finally, finally, finally — Saizeriya has arrived in Kumamoto! 😆

There are now four Saizeriya locations across Kumamoto Prefecture 😃
Whenever I travel outside the prefecture, I always make a point of stopping by — that’s how much I love this Italian chain! 😍

You’ll find the restaurant on Shimotori shopping street, right across from the famous “Kado-Mac” (the corner McDonald’s) 😆

Honestly, it’s been a while since I’ve used the nickname “Kado-Mac”! 😆

When the restaurant gets busy, you’ll write your name on a waiting list and wait outside — but don’t worry, there are chairs provided 😄

They even leave menus out for you to browse while you wait.
Isn’t it exciting to plan your order in advance? 🤩

Now, let’s head inside — GO! GO!!!!!

Look at that bright, welcoming interior! 🌟

Condiments are self-service, but rest assured —
everything is sanitized as clearly marked!

Wet towels (oshibori), chopsticks, and other utensils are clearly labeled, which is super helpful 😄
They even have spoons and forks for kids! 👍

Saizeriya is amazing!

Now let’s take a look at the menu!

Saizeriya has so many tempting dishes that I can’t show them all,
but here are a few highlights 🥰

First up: salads, soups, and starters

Just look at these prices!

Sautéed spinach for just 200 yen!?

A salad for 350 yen!?

And that 350-yen salad isn’t a small portion either — it’s a regular size!

You can swap out the dressings and customize your salad to taste,
so try different combinations to find your favorite! 🥰

Next up: appetizers and small bites

The No.1 best-seller, the Spicy Chicken,
is an unbelievable 300 yen! 🤩

You can also add a focaccia on the side —
it’s the perfect size and absolutely delicious 😍

Now for doria and gratin —
when people think of Saizeriya, many immediately think of doria (Japanese-style baked rice gratin) 😋

Incredible quality at just 300 yen!

The first time I tried it, I was genuinely shocked — how can it be this cheap and this good? 😆

The paella is also legit — packed with seafood and authentic flavor 🦐

Here’s the kids’ menu —
three items included for just 500 yen! 😆

So thoughtful, so generous! 🥰

And guess what? Guests aged 60 and over can order from this menu too! 🥰

How kind is this place?!

Recommended Menu Items

This time, I went with the Chicken and Broccoli Salad — 350 yen

As someone who loves working out,
I always lean toward high-protein options 💦

The pickled tomatoes on top have such a strong flavor that
I asked for the dressing on the side 😄

And here we have the Doria — 300 yen

Petit Focaccia (set option) — 100 yen

Tarako Cream Pizza — 400 yen

That spice in the upper left is
Yamitsuki Spice — 50 yen,
and as the name (literally “addictive”) suggests,
you’ll get totally hooked 😆

Spicy Chicken — 300 yen

This one is seriously delicious!!

And here’s the best part — it’s grilled, not fried,
so you don’t need to worry about calories 👍

Plus, the combo of Spicy Chicken and Yamitsuki Spice is unbeatable!

Yamitsuki Spice tastes great on just about anything, so be sure to try it 😆
