A Look Back at June

On June 18, we hosted another edition of ‘Kasumiso Hiroba,’ the parenting community meetup born from Sarukuma!

Just like last year, we filled up every spot within hours of opening registration!
We were thrilled to welcome back ‘Eniyui,’ a nurse with experience in obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics ♩

She now runs her own studio in Tamana that’s booked solid day after day!
Honestly, photos of mothers with their kids are surprisingly rare… (Dads, please take more pictures!) Snapshots of a mom holding her little one are treasures you’ll cherish later — looking back, you’ll think, ‘Wow, they were so tiny!’ (Trust me, I speak from experience lol)
While families waited their turn for photos, kids made handprints, footprints, and enjoyed coloring activities…
Once again, Yusui Nursery School Toyooka kindly lent us a height and weight scale along with a variety of toys.

There were lots of handmade toys too, and the moms generously shared simple tips on how to make them!

How to Sign Up for the Next Event

The next session is on Wednesday, June 18.
Starting this fiscal year, ‘Kasumiso Hiroba’ has moved to the third Wednesday of each month to avoid overlapping with other children’s center events in Koshi City!
(Dates may change due to instructor scheduling or extended holidays.)

Same-day cancellations and coming and going during the event are absolutely fine!
Parking: Free
Restrooms: Western-style toilets, no baby seat, but a diaper-changing table is available in the multipurpose room
Nursing is also welcome!
If you need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask our staff.

Whether you live in Koshi City or not, whether you have a baby or an older child — everyone is welcome to join!
Crying, running around, arriving late, or leaving early are all perfectly OK!
Kids will be kids — and that’s totally fine!!

Each month, the principal of Yusui Nursery School Toyooka joins us in person.
They lend us tools and toys for our activities and bring along the height and weight scale.
Feel free to ask questions about searching for a nursery, or chat about what it’s actually like to work at one.
