📌 What you’ll learn in this article
A Sarukuma writer pays a real visit to “Ramen Hinata,” a beloved ramen shop in Kashima Town, Kumamoto. We’ll cover family-friendly features, access, and opening hours.

Hey there, hello!
This is Gussan, writer for “Sarukuma”!
Today I’m introducing you to Ramen Hinata, located in Kashima Town, Kamimashiki District, Kumamoto Prefecture.
It’s so easy to visit with kids that my family comes here all the time.
You’ll find it along the Hamasen Bypass. Just look for this sign!
Here’s the parking lot. It gets pretty packed on weekends.
The shop entrance.
Step inside and you’ll find table seats on the left, plus counter seats and a traditional tatami zashiki area on the right!
A bright, lively atmosphere inside! Good job!
The tatami seating area. So clean and tidy! Top marks!
They’ve got high chairs ready for the little ones, too.
Hand sanitizer and even rice furikake (seasoning) on the tables — such a thoughtful touch!
Kid-sized tableware is also fully stocked!

Recommended Menu

The menu. There’s even a kids’ ramen — my 6-year-old son polishes off a whole bowl by himself every time.
Pickled red ginger (beni shoga), takana (pickled mustard greens), and bean sprouts are right there on the table — bonus points!
Ajitama Ramen (with marinated egg) — ¥750
That egg really makes the bowl shine! A mellow tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen that’s gentle enough for kids to enjoy!
Premium Ichiban Nori Ramen (top-grade seaweed) — ¥800
Premium nori seaweed sourced from Saga Prefecture! Try it dipped quickly into the broth, or let it soften into a melt-in-your-mouth tsukudani-style topping.
Any seaweed lover absolutely has to taste this!
