Hello, travelers! I’m Ayu-mama, a writer for “Sarukuma.”

The rainy season’s downpours have suddenly given way to scorching summer days,
so today I’d like to introduce a spot that’s absolutely perfect for beating the heat!

Located in Izumi, Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City,
this is the “Suizenji Children’s Park Kiddie Pool.”

Please note there is no parking lot on-site.
We recommend coming by public transportation or using one of the nearby paid parking lots.

If you’re taking the city tram (Kumamoto Shiden), get off at Suizenji-Koen-mae Station.

From the Suizenji-Koen-mae bus stop, head down a small side street.

The park and pool will come into view almost immediately.

What a colorful park and pool!
The park sits directly behind the Suizenji Green Hotel.

And right next to the pool you’ll find a beautifully clear stream
that’s a treat just to look at β€” instantly refreshing.

Please be aware of the guidelines this year.

Check in at this white tent to enter.
There are no changing rooms on-site, so we recommend putting on swimwear before you arrive.

Why You’ll Love It

The biggest highlight has to be the price.
This pool is β€” wait for it β€” completely FREE!!!!
