A Sarukuma writer’s first-hand report on “Furoya Yuwaku” in Yonezuka, Ueki-machi, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City. Prices start from just 300 yen. We’ve also rounded up family-friendly tips, access info, and opening hours.

Introducing Furoya Yuwaku

Hello, fellow travelers!
I’m Binako, a Sarukuma writer who can’t resist a good hot spring whenever I have a free moment.

Today I’m taking you to Yonezuka, Ueki-machi, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City, to a wonderful local bathhouse called “Furoya Yuwaku”.

On our way back from the previously featured “Fureai Hiroba” (also known as Orange Park), we said, “Let’s stop at a hot spring on the way home!” and went searching. That’s how we discovered this incredible-value onsen β€” and we just had to try it!

There’s plenty of parking space available for multiple cars.

Public Bath
Adults: 300 yen
Children (ages 3 to elementary school): 150 yen
Private Family Bath: 1,000 yen / 60 min
Open-Air Bath: 1,300 yen / 60 min

The prices are unbeatable. A private family bath for just 1,000 yen feels almost too good to be true!
Toiletries and amenities are also available for purchase.

After paying at the reception, you head to your private bath room.

Why Furoya Yuwaku Is a Must-Visit

The changing room is neither too big nor too small β€” just right for me, my child, and grandma all together.

The room comes equipped with air conditioning, and there’s no extra charge to use it. Affordable entry AND free A/C? It’s almost enough to bring tears of joy!

There’s also an electric fan ready to go. During Japan’s hot summers, you’ll definitely want to put it to full use!

The bath itself is cozy and intimate in size.

My child even brought along marbles, and we had fun playing “treasure hunt” in the bath. The water quality is fantastic, warming you all the way through to the core β™ͺ

Shampoo and body soap are provided, so you can swing by empty-handed anytime.

Wonderful water, unbeatable prices.
I’ve found my new favorite family onsen for sure!

If you’re traveling through Kumamoto, definitely stop by and give it a try β™ͺ
