About Uto Marina Lawn Park
Hello travelers! I’m Chomo, a writer for Sarukuma.
Today I’m introducing Uto Marina Lawn Park, located in Shimoamoda, Uto City.
With its beautiful sea views and wide-open lawn, it’s a fantastic spot for families with young children.
The parking area is shared with the adjacent Michi-no-Eki (roadside station), so you can park right next to the lawn park.
There’s plenty of space for many cars!
Restrooms are available inside the Michi-no-Eki, complete with a diaper-changing table and baby chairs β
There’s also a nursing room, which moms will really appreciate.
It’s a place where you can visit with peace of mind, even with a baby in tow βͺ
The Michi-no-Eki sells bento boxes, fresh bread, and chiffon cake.
You can grab lunch here and enjoy a relaxed picnic on the lawn β
There’s also a drinking fountain inside the park.
It doubles as a hand-washing station, so you’re covered if anything comes up βͺ
Top Reasons to Visit Uto Marina Lawn Park
Highlight #1
A Spacious Lawn Park
The biggest draw of Uto Marina is, without a doubt, its expansive lawn!
On the day of our visit, families were enjoying badminton and dodgeball together.
Lush trees provide plenty of shade, and benches are scattered throughout β perfect for taking a breather.
Depending on the season, you might find palm bark and pinecones scattered on the ground. My little one became completely absorbed in collecting pinecones βͺ
They loved them so much, we ended up lining them all up along the seawall! (laugh)
Highlight #2
Pier Fishing
Another big draw is the chance to fish from the pier.
It’s an ideal spot for families who love fishing β we spotted parents fishing alongside their elementary-school-aged kids βͺ
Even if you’re not fishing, listening to the waves and gazing across at the islands offshore makes for some really special conversations with your kids β
Highlight #3
Stunning Sunsets
Because the sea sits to the west, the sunsets here are absolutely beautiful.
There’s nothing more refreshing than unwinding while watching the sun dip into the horizon βͺ
(Unfortunately, it was too cloudy to catch the sunset on our visit… so close!)
There aren’t any playground structures, but kids can run, jump, and play with their whole bodies in this open natural setting.
With the Michi-no-Eki right next door, you’ll never have to worry about restrooms or food β another big plus ( οΌΎοΌΎ)
Come visit at least once and experience it for yourself βͺ
