About the Shop

This is Binako, your Sarukuma writer —
whose shoulder blades are so stiff
she’d love to take them out and give them a wash!

Today I’m introducing
“Shounen Cheesecake S,”
a charming little shop located in Hozakubo-honmachi, Higashi Ward, Kumamoto City.

This specialty cheesecake shop just opened on January 11th!

There are two parking spaces in front of the shop.

Since the shop is right along the road, please be very careful when parking!

Step inside, and you’ll spot lovely green panels scattered throughout the space. There’s something so calming about a touch of greenery, isn’t there?

They also serve coffee — just 200 yen per cup.

And here’s the fun part about the coffee —
play a piano performance (on video) and you get a cup on the house!

I really wish I could play the piano… lol!
If you’re a pianist, this is your moment to shine — give it a try!

There’s an eat-in space inside, so you can also enjoy your coffee right there.

(That little Demon Slayer cosplayer in the front-left? That’s my son — check out his very serious pose, lol!)

Because he was dressed as Tanjiro, the friendly shop owner immediately struck up a conversation with him.
The owner cheerfully declared,
“Well, I’m a Super Saiyan (Vegeta)!”
lol — and honestly, with his stylish blond hair, he totally pulled it off!

For now, the menu features just one item:
Shounen Cheesecake S — 2,160 yen
but more flavors are on the way!

The ingredients are top-notch:
milk and yogurt from Silica Farm (famous for their “Yume Miruku” soft serve), and eggs from Kikuchi — all locally sourced from Kumamoto Prefecture!

This time, I tried the
Shounen Cheesecake S — 2,160 yen!

It comes frozen, and by the time I got home, it had thawed perfectly — I enjoyed it semi-thawed, which was just right.

OH. MY. GOODNESS — so rich!!!
Moist, smooth, melt-in-your-mouth heaven.

The cheese melts on your tongue with this incredible depth of flavor.
Cheesecake lovers will adore it, and even people who usually don’t like cheesecake will fall for this one.

Seriously — you can’t stop eating it.

Then I tried popping it in the toaster oven — and oh my, it transformed into something completely different. A fondant-style cheesecake!

The surface turns crispy while the inside oozes into a creamy, molten dream.
It’s like diving headfirst into a pool of cheese.
Honestly, I’d happily dive in.

Pure indulgence, pure happiness.

My recommendation? Slice it into bite-sized cubes and savor each one.
Trust me — it makes it impossible to put down, and you can fully savor every bit of cheesy goodness.

I thought about saving some for the next day… but yeah, I demolished the whole thing in one sitting. It was just too good!

Shounen Cheesecake S is an absolute must-visit for any cheese lover in Kumamoto!
The soccer-loving owner is super friendly and welcoming, too!
