Welcome to Ippuku Ramen

Hello there!
This is Rikotama, writer for SaruKuma!

Today I’m excited to introduce you to [Ippuku Ramen], a fantastic ramen shop located in Taijima, Minami Ward, Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture!

You’ll find the shop near the Taijima intersection on Route 57,
just before Kumamoto Daiichi Hospital!

Parking is convenient too โ€” three spaces in front of the shop, plus four more around the back!

Inside, there are 6 counter seats,

plus regular tables and even traditional Japanese tatami (zashiki) seating! โ™ฌ

Recommended Menu at Ippuku Ramen

Here’s a peek at the menu!

Ramen โ€” 650 yen
Showa Ramen โ€” 650 yen
Amakusa Daio Salt Ramen โ€” 790 yen
Suanlatang-men (Hot & Sour Noodles) โ€” 670 yen

โ€ป For some ramen options, you can choose your chashu (roasted pork) between
[Pork Belly] or [Pork Shoulder Loin] โ€” what a treat! (โ‰งโ–ฝโ‰ฆ)

San-Ma-Jan-Men (Mountain Spice Soy Noodles) โ€” 770 yen
Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles with Spicy Meat Miso) โ€” 700 yen
Kaedama (extra noodles) โ€” 170 yen per portion!

There are great set menus too!
Kids’ Set (Ramen, Salt Onigiri Rice Ball & Juice) โ€” 650 yen โ˜†

Friends Set โ€” 2,170 yen โ€” perfect for sharing! ๐ŸŽต

Takeout is also available โ€” great for travelers on the go!

The takeout menu offers 4 varieties: Ramen, Showa Ramen, Buta Jan-Men, and Amakusa Daio Salt Ramen.

Here’s the Kids’ Set my son ordered!
It’s a gentle, mild tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen โ˜†

We chose pork belly chashu since it’s easier for little ones to eat (*^-^*).
The portion size is just right for a 6-year-old!

They even provide kid-friendly tableware โ˜†

This is the Tsukemen (Dipping Noodles with Spicy Meat Miso) โ€” 700 yen that my husband ordered!

The thick, straight noodles have a wonderfully firm bite,
and they soak up the rich dipping broth beautifully โ€” incredibly satisfying! (โ‰งโ–ฝโ‰ฆ)

And here’s the star of the show โ€” the Amakusa Daio Salt Ramen โ€” 790 yen (โ‰งโ–ฝโ‰ฆ)

For this one, I picked the pork shoulder loin chashu!

It’s huge โ€” and the meaty flavor really takes center stage! (=๏พŸฯ‰๏พŸ)๏พ‰

The slightly flat, wavy noodles pair beautifully with the clean yet rich salt broth (*^โ–ฝ^*)

The soup is loaded with finely chopped green onions, giving it an amazing aroma!

I visited around noon on a Sunday, and the shop and parking lot were both completely packed โ€” clear proof of how popular this place is!

Just behind the shop is Egazu Golf โ›ณ, so it’s the perfect post-practice pick-me-up after working up a sweat ๐Ÿ˜‹

Affordable and absolutely delicious โ€” that’s [Ippuku Ramen]!
I really, really recommend the Amakusa Daio Salt Ramen โ€” don’t miss it! (โ‰งโ–ฝโ‰ฆ)
