This is Rikotama, writer for Sarukuma!

Today I’m excited to introduce you to
【Lava Stone Oven Pizza Wadachi】,
a charming pizzeria located in Yamada Roppagahara, Aso City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

To get there, head a little north from 《Daikanbo, one of Kumamoto’s most spectacular viewpoints》,
then turn onto the mountain road heading toward Roppagahara!

You’ll spot the sign on the right side of the road — easy to find!

Here’s the sign right in front of the restaurant!
The vibrant blue gives it such a stylish vibe♪

The parking lot in front of the restaurant fits about 10 cars!

From the parking lot, you’ll walk along this lovely little path to reach the restaurant (*^▽^*)

So exciting!!!

In just a little while, the autumn leaves should be putting on a beautiful show here too♬

And here’s the entrance! Doesn’t it have such a wonderful atmosphere? (*´▽｀*)

There’s one table on the first floor.

And the second floor has four tables!

The upstairs has such a lovely antique feel — absolutely charming♡

The exposed wooden ceiling beams are so stylish~~ (*’ω’*)

They have children’s chairs available too♪

Look up and you’ll spot an adorable illustration on the chalkboard!

I was super curious about it,
but totally forgot to ask the owner (>_<)

On nice days, you can also dine on the terrace seats!
※The terrace seating is located at the back of the restaurant, alongside the river☆

※I really wanted to try Wadachi’s fresh pasta,
but unfortunately it’s only available on weekdays (>_<)!

Saving that one for next time☆

What I ordered today was:

Margherita EXTRA — ¥1,980

The wonderful aroma of the freshly baked crust is irresistible!!

It’s beautifully chewy yet has such a soft, airy texture
that I could honestly polish off an entire pizza by myself!!

The buffalo mozzarella is rich and absolutely delicious~😋
It pairs perfectly with the tomato sauce!

Next up, Gorgonzola EXTRA — ¥1,980

The distinctive tang of blue cheese comes through just right,
and combined with the honey, it’s absolutely heavenly♡

Even the kindergarten kids were happily munching away on it!

And one more dish!

Soft & Fluffy Stone Oven Quiche — ¥1,300

Oh my goodness!!
This was honestly the most amazing thing (≧▽≦)

The moment I took a bite, “It’s warm!! So fluffy!!!”
It completely blew me away! (=ﾟωﾟ)ﾉ

This is unlike any quiche I’ve ever had before!

A stone oven quiche you can only enjoy here ☆☆☆
