more food into an already-full stomach!

Today I’m excited to introduce you to
BROT HAUS SHINYASHIKI,
a wonderful bakery located in Shinyashiki, Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City.

The bright blue exterior is absolutely charming!

Parking is available right next to the shop and diagonally across the street.

And here’s the parking lot right next to the bakery!

The interior is cozy and intimate,
but absolutely overflowing with bread!

The Danish pastries with chocolate, sweet potato, and berries
immediately catch your eye.

Turn around and you’ll find
Croissants for 200 yen and
Peanut Cream Bread for 180 yen,
along with every kind of bread you could imagine!

Bacon Croissant — 240 yen
The name alone bursts with savory goodness.
And the cheese is literally bursting out of the croissant!
This can only be delicious!

This is their wildly popular signature loaf
Sato — 900 yen

Sadly, by the time I arrived, it was already sold out!
And the final line in the description really blew me away:

※ No butter needed when toasting.
That single sentence tells you just how rich and buttery the aroma must be!

They also sell coffee, so you can take a moment to relax and enjoy your bread on the spot.

Recommended Menu Items

First up, I tried
the Cube — 180 yen

While browsing in the shop, the perfect cube shape from above completely won me over!
I hope some of you can relate!

Generous chunks of chocolate paired with soft, chewy bread dough — pure comfort in every bite.

Next, I picked up my beloved whole wheat bread for 300 yen.

The shape is just adorable —
it makes you want to share it with someone special!

Packed full of juicy berries and cheese — absolutely irresistible!

I’M HOOKED!

What is this?! It’s incredibly delicious!
I expected it to be hard, but the crust is crispy while the inside is wonderfully chewy,
and the tartness of the berries creates the most amazing balance!

The texture is easy to bite into, with that perfect crispy-chewy combination.
