Kaminanbu, Higashi-ku, Kumamoto City‘s very own
“Higoya Taiyaki-do”.

The shop is tucked inside YouMe Town Sunpian,
and there’s plenty of parking available too ♪♪
Look for it on the Toys\”R\”Us side of the mall ( *´艸｀)

Taiyaki — fish-shaped Japanese cakes — come in many flavors here:
Classic Ogura sweet red bean — 140 yen
Sweet Chestnut Paste — 140 yen
Chocolate — 140 yen
Custard Cream — 140 yen

White Bean Paste — 140 yen
Ogura & Cream Cheese — 140 yen
Mini Taiyaki — 350 yen
Alongside those sweet options…

…there are also savory taiyaki such as:
Ham & Cheese — 170 yen
Okonomiyaki-style — 170 yen ( *´艸｀)
And today’s special deal was
Sweet Potato Paste Taiyaki
normally 140 yen,
marked down to just 100 yen!!!

This time I went with
Ham & Cheese — 170 yen!!

Truth be told… I’ve been a fan of this Ham & Cheese for ages, lol.
My older sister got me hooked on it — she absolutely loves it too, lol.

It’s absolutely packed with ham and cheese ( *´艸｀)
Taiyaki-do typically pre-makes their taiyaki,
so the batter is cooled with that lovely soft, settled texture —
which actually lets the fillings soak deeply into the dough (*´Д｀)

Stuffed to the brim,
with a rich flavor that’s seriously addictive.

It’s never overpowering, so you’ll want to eat one after another.
Kids love it too, making it the perfect snack ♪

The okonomiyaki-style and sweet potato paste flavors are tempting too ( *´艸｀)
