Today, I’m excited to introduce you to
【DOKOSA】, located in
Miyuki Nishimuta, Minami Ward, Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

Here’s something special:
this bento shop is actually run by a local rice shop! 😆

You’ll find DOKOSA on the left-hand side of the road heading from the Jonan area toward Sunlive City Kumanan 😊

Just look for this signboard at the entrance — it makes the shop easy to spot 😃

Parking is available both right in front of the shop and across the street 🚗

The lot is spacious — even large trucks and dump trucks can park here easily 👌

And since this is run by a rice shop,
there’s a coin-operated rice mill on-site 😊

If you ever find yourself out and about with rice that needs polishing, this is a handy spot to remember 👍

At the entrance, there’s a big, eye-catching display with mouthwatering food photos 💕

My excitement was building by the second 🥰

Now, let’s head inside! GO! GO!!!!

Step inside and you’ll find a table set up in the middle of the shop.
It’s primarily a takeout spot, but occasionally guests do dine in 👍

They also sell handmade masks at very reasonable prices 🤩

It’s lovely seeing more shops carry handmade masks these days 😆

Now, let’s check out the menu 😃

Every option looks generous and absolutely delicious 🤩

Their famous karaage (Japanese fried chicken) is also available à la carte 👌
For an extra 50 yen, you can upsize the rice or the side dishes 🥰

Hors d’oeuvre platters are also available — perfect for events or when you feel like treating yourself 💕

And here’s the best part!
For companies and groups, delivery is available with orders of 1,500 yen or more 😄

The staff happily told me that
the rice harvest had just started on the very day of my visit 😆
I can’t wait to taste the new harvest! ❤️

Made fresh after you order,
so it arrives piping hot ☆

The omurice has a rich, buttery flavor — just like at a proper Western-style Japanese diner. Truly delicious!

The karaage is freshly fried with bold, well-seasoned flavor — incredibly tasty!

And all three side dishes are handmade and equally delightful 😋

While I was there, I noticed customers buying multiple bentos at once 😀

Everything is handmade and reassuring,
and because it’s run by a rice shop, the rice itself is exceptional!

The combination of premium rice and mouthwatering side dishes is unbeatable —
