Kagura Jonan Branch (佳倉 城南町店).The restaurant sits along the main road through Jonan, just before Ikkyu Honpo, which we featured in a previous article.

There’s a parking lot with space for more than 10 cars — super convenient if you’re driving.Step inside and you’ll find a counter on the left,

and three traditional Japanese-style tatami seating areas on the right.

Cold water and tea are self-service, set up at this station.

Restrooms are separated by gender.

Right by the entrance, you’ll spot manga books and children’s chairs lined up together — a thoughtful touch for families.Kid-sized tableware is available too!

Toward the back, there are four semi-private tatami rooms.
In the evening, the menu transforms into izakaya-style fare — a perfect spot for a casual family night out with food and drinks!

The biggest draw of Kagura Jonan Branch? An incredible variety of dishes paired with unbeatable value!

I always struggle to choose.
And the udon broth is just so good~.Weekday Lunch Menu — ¥680
If you’re visiting on a weekday, this is my top pick.Knowing how outrageously good their hormone (offal) is, my go-to is the “Simmered Hormone + Karaage Set Meal — ¥930”!

And the rice portion is seriously generous!!The crowd-favorite “Ladies Set Take — ¥1,098”

This combo includes a mini yamakake-don (rice bowl with grated yam) and tempura.
But the real star at Kagura Jonan Branch? Their famous tuna bowl (maguro-don)!!

Kids’ Menu — ¥450 to ¥550
The legit-quality “Mini Tuna Bowl + Karaage Set — ¥450”!!!

Watching the little ones drizzle the secret thick soy-based sauce on top, you’d think they were seasoned foodies!A kids’ lunch for under 500 yen (less than a coin!) is pretty rare these days, isn’t it?!

The crispy karaage (Japanese fried chicken) is so addictive that the kids couldn’t stop eating♪

The mountain of rice and karaage that came with the hormone set was big enough to share with my child — and we both still left full!

And here’s the kicker — both the kids’ menu and the Ladies Set come with a mini soft-serve ice cream for dessert. Talk about value for money!!
