Welcome to tartelette
Hello, travelers!
I’m Binako, your SaruKuma writer — caught in a downpour but still on the hunt for hidden gems!
Today, I’m thrilled to introduce you to a delightful little spot located in Shin-oe, Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City:
“tartelette”.

Trust me — I’ve stumbled upon something truly special here. Hehe!

There are two parking spots available on the right side of the building.
To find tartelette, look for the local liquor shop “Osake no Akatsuki” — turn left at the crossroads just diagonally to its right, and you’ll spot the cafe on your right side!

Recommended Menu at tartelette

This time, I went with:
Broccoli Quiche — 220 yen
Canelé — 120 yen
Choosing was incredibly hard!

Just look at this!
Beautifully plated and absolutely Instagram-worthy.
Bonus: the plate itself is incredibly lightweight — surprisingly so!

Look at all that broccoli packed in there!
Soft, moist, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
The pastry crust is wonderfully flaky.
Every single bite is a delight.

OH. MY. GOODNESS!
The canelé has a beautifully crisp, caramelized exterior,
but inside? Wonderfully chewy and sweet — the flavor deepens with every bite!
And all this for just 120 yen?! What a steal!
Both the quiche and canelé were so good I want to come back again and again.
Honestly, the canelé is so heavenly, my taste buds were doing a happy dance.
Be sure to stop by tartelette and try the tarts, canelés, and quiches for yourself!
