I heard that an additive-free soup specialty shop — perfect for beauty and health — had opened in Tamana, so off I went!

Today I’m introducing a wonderful little spot in Tsukiji, Tamana City:

This charming shop just opened in January 2023.

As you drive along the old national highway, you’ll spot a car dealership with a car wash area.
with soup is tucked right inside that dealership’s parking lot.

The shop is run by a soup-loving husband-and-wife duo, open weekends only (Saturday & Sunday).

It’s a takeout-only additive-free soup shop.
Here’s the menu.

Vegetable Soup… 420 yen
Clam Chowder… 450 yen
Seasonal soups and seasonal potages are available for a limited time.
In January, the lineup featured tomato vegetable soup with garlic flavor and pumpkin & sweet potato potage.
Check Instagram or the website for the latest seasonal flavors.

You can also pair your soup with garlic toast or rice.
Gently flavored, these options are even gentle enough for older babies just starting on seasoned foods!

I tried the vegetable soup and the seasonal potage (pumpkin & sweet potato).

The owner modestly said, “It might not look very Instagram-worthy…” — but truly nourishing food doesn’t need to be flashy. That’s how you know it’s the real deal.

The vegetable soup is loaded with phytochemicals.
It’s packed with cabbage, carrots, burdock root, bacon, and more.

The bacon was incredibly delicious, so I asked the owner where it was from. He told me, “We source Hinomoto pork and smoke it ourselves.”
No wonder it tastes so amazing!
The portion is generous — paired with a small rice ball, it makes for a completely satisfying meal.

This is the pumpkin & sweet potato potage.
The potage selections are especially popular.
Handmade toppings add a delightful accent, and the gentle natural sweetness of the pumpkin and sweet potato makes it a guaranteed hit with kids. Honestly, I wanted to take the whole pot home with me.
