Introducing twosupilot (Two Supilot)

Hello travelers! I’m Aikero, a writer for Sarukuma.

Today I’m excited to introduce a sweet little spot in Ogawa Town, Uki City:
twosupilot (Two Supilot).
The Hong Kong waffle food truck once known as “Waffle Play” has been reborn as twosupilot, opening its new location in May 2025!
Here you’ll find sweet, melt-in-your-mouth treats featuring authentic Hong Kong-style waffles — crispy on the outside, chewy and bouncy on the inside ♪
Getting there is easy. From National Route 3, turn at the JA Kumamoto Uki Ogawa Branch, and you’ll find the shop right across from the Tama to Pochi Animal Hospital.
Google Maps will guide you straight there with no trouble!
The parking lot is large with plenty of spaces, making it super convenient (^^)/

Nearby, you’ll also find Stone Oven Bakery Milky — definitely worth a stop while you’re in the area! ★

Look for the colorful banner right in front of the parking lot.
Follow the path forward, and…
…there it is! A charming cream-colored container house — that’s twosupilot.
The grass might be a bit tall, but you’re welcome to enjoy your treats out here too (^^)

It’s a cozy space with just one seat, but takeout is also available, so it’s super easy to drop by anytime (^^)/

With such cute illustrations and an intriguing tagline like that, how could I resist?
Time to dig in!
Each waffle is made-to-order, so it may take a few minutes.
But the sweet aroma filling the shop only builds your anticipation!

〈Red Bean & Butter Sandwich〉
・Plain waffle: 650 yen
・Matcha waffle: 700 yen

〈Soft-Serve Waffle〉
・Plain waffle + Vanilla soft-serve: 700 yen
・Other waffle + Vanilla soft-serve: 750 yen
(Chocolate, Matcha, Sweet Potato)

・Plain waffle + Special soft-serve: 750 yen
・Other waffle + Special soft-serve: 800 yen
(Fresh Caramel, Chocolate, Matcha, Sweet Potato)
※Due to supplier availability, only Fresh Caramel was offered as the special soft-serve at the time of our visit. Restock dates for other flavors are unconfirmed.

You can also have free sauce drizzled on the vanilla soft-serve.

As the warm seasons roll in, soft-serve-topped drinks and fruity beverages are exactly what you’ll be craving (*’ω’*)
And of course, you can order soft-serve on its own ♪
I had no idea this team used to run a popular food truck — turns out they’ve been featured in plenty of media!
Maybe some of you have already tasted their waffles from the food truck days!

Behold — the Soft-Serve Waffle, topped with a fluffy cloud of cotton candy!
I went with the Plain waffle + Fresh Caramel soft-serve combination ♫

The toasted aroma of a freshly baked waffle is absolutely irresistible!

Hong Kong waffles have been enjoyed in Hong Kong for over 50 years.
The bubble-like shape isn’t just adorable — the crispy outer texture sets them completely apart from the soft Belgian-style waffles you might be used to.
Since the cotton candy cloud is super sweet, the shop suggests saving it for last.
Set it gently aside for now (･ω･ﾉ)ﾉ
The owner says she’s still working on her soft-serve swirl technique (*’ω’*)
So the shape of your soft-serve is part of the charm (^^)/

The fresh caramel soft-serve is swirled through with rich caramel sauce.
It has a deeply sweet caramel aroma and an indulgently rich flavor.

The fresh caramel soft-serve is the shop’s most popular flavor, by the way.
It’s already incredible on its own, but the magic happens when you pair it with the Hong Kong waffle!
The Hong Kong waffle comes out beautifully toasted.
The outside is even crispier than I imagined!
Warm and gently sweet waffle paired with cool, creamy fresh caramel soft-serve — that hot-and-cold contrast is absolutely heavenly!

It looked like a generous portion, but it was so delicious I devoured it in no time!
And finally, the fluffy cotton candy.
It melts on your tongue the instant it touches your mouth — sweet and dreamy.
It’s been a while since I’ve had cotton candy, and the portion is just right.
The owner, Ran-san, is originally from Hong Kong.
She speaks Japanese, so even though my English is limited, we had a lovely chat ♫

The container house she rents is only available for one to two years.

For now, I’d love to take it slow at this stable spot for a short while, but where things will be in two years — even I don’t know yet.

The name twosupilot reflects a heartfelt philosophy: “Don’t worry about settling down — go where you’re meant to go.”
Where Ran-san’s journey will take her next, no one yet knows.

So my advice? Don’t put it off — visit while you can!
I know I’ll definitely be heading back for more Hong Kong waffles and fresh caramel soft-serve ♫
