Today I’m thrilled to introduce a brand-new spot that just opened its doors:
Chocolate House Cocoro Ogawa, located in Kawae, Ogawa-machi, Uki City, Kumamoto Prefecture.

Apologies for the slightly blurry exterior shot — I was rushing to keep my goodies dry from the rain!

The good news? The shop has plenty of parking spaces, so you won’t feel rushed when you arrive.

Inside, you’ll find chocolate-coated bottle flakes (420 yen) — a wonderful snack for kids and grown-ups alike.

Baked, so the calories don’t count, right?
Baked donuts (180 yen) come in a variety of delicious flavors.

True to its name, this Chocolate House offers an irresistible variety of chocolate sweets — you’ll want to try every single one!

They also offer beautiful gift sets — perfect as souvenirs from your Kumamoto trip.

Three sizes are available, which makes choosing the right gift a breeze.

The display case is a treasure trove of sweets and chocolate sets.

Honestly, this is pure happiness in a single space.

Pudding, tiramisu, cheesecake — and the tiramisu and pudding come in many delicious flavors.

The next display case lets you buy individual chocolates by the piece — a wonderfully indulgent way to sample many different flavors.

For chocolate lovers, this is an absolute dream. I couldn’t take my eyes off the display!

The menu also features chocolate-based crepes

and soft serve ice cream. You can choose between milk or chocolate flavors, and either a cup or cone — so there’s something for every preference, kids and adults alike.

I went with:
Tiramisu Milk Soft Serve in a Cup (420 yen)

The cool, rich milk paired beautifully with the bittersweet cocoa powder. There seems to be a hint of cheese on top, adding a subtle tangy note that gives it a sophisticated, grown-up flavor.

For my child, I picked the:
Fresh Chocolate Sweet Crepe (535 yen)

I sneaked a bite, and the fresh chocolate isn’t just on top — it’s generously layered inside as well, so every bite is packed with rich chocolate flavor right to the last morsel.

I worried it might be too much for my little one to finish, but they polished it off in no time — clear proof of just how delicious it was!
