Today we’re heading to Higashino, Higashi-ku, Kumamoto City to check out
【Akitsu Nishi Park】!
To the right of the playground area, there’s an open grassy lawn,
and on the left, a lovely tree-shaded area
that’s perfect for a picnic!
The park has a unisex restroom and a drinking fountain on site,
and there’s even a vending machine right out front!
The grassy field is a great spot for tag, ball games,
and letting the kids run free.

You’ll also find several benches scattered around to relax on ♪

What We Love About This Park

There’s a combination play structure, horizontal bars, and swings!
The train-themed play equipment is a big hit too!
Kids love crawling through the tunnel and popping their heads
out the windows ♪

Pro tip: the light-blue window makes for an adorable photo op,
so don’t forget your camera!

And here’s a bonus — there’s a famous local pastry shop
in Kengun called 【Kaju】 nearby, so why not grab some sweet treats
and enjoy a relaxed picnic under the dappled sunlight? ♪♪
