Introducing Yugan Junnoji
Hello, this is Aikero, a writer for Sarukuma!
Today we’re heading to Iwasaki, Tamana City to visit
Yugan Junnoji.
This family bathhouse was previously introduced on Sarukuma by writer Igaguri-san.
This time I tried a different room with a water slide, so I wanted to share a fresh report (^^)/

Drive up the small slope from the main road and you’ll find Yugan Junnoji.
The parking lot is spacious, but the spaces themselves are a bit narrow — adults should handle the door opening to avoid bumping the cars next to you.
There’s a vending machine outside the front desk with juices, milk, and ice cream — perfect for a post-bath treat!

We visited on a weekend, and arriving just before 1 PM, we just barely snagged a water slide room — the other rooms were filling up fast too!
On weekends, aim for the morning, or call ahead and stop by on your way home from a day out.
The variety of rooms is amazing — water slides, shallow lying-down baths, deep open-air pools, spacious open-air baths, and even a room with a miraculous stone arrangement that survived the earthquake. You’ll want to try them all!
The water slides come in two styles: a gentle curved version and a fast straight one, so you can choose based on your kid’s preference (*’ω’*)
Once you’ve picked your room, pay at the ticket machine.
Towels and bath towels are also available for purchase, so you can come empty-handed!
The restrooms are right out of the front desk on your right.
The staff give a friendly, thorough explanation, so it’s easy to figure things out even if it’s your first visit.
Some rooms even have their own private toilet (^^)/
Why You’ll Love Yugan Junnoji

The room we chose this time was “Keyaki,” which has a water slide!
It has a slight curve but is mostly straight.
Hot water trickles down from the top, so it’s nice and slippery!
My daughter slid down so many times her bottom turned red — she had a blast!
Depending on the season, the open-air bath can get chilly.
Luckily every room has both an indoor and outdoor bath, so you can warm up inside when it’s cold and enjoy the rotenburo when it’s warm — best of both worlds!
The water runs a bit on the hot side, so we used the hose to add cold water to the rotenburo and adjust the temperature (*’ω’*)
Rinse-in shampoo and body soap are provided!
The changing room was the perfect size for our family of four — not too cramped, not too big.
There are also rooms with larger changing areas, so go for one of those if you have a bigger group (^^)/
Hair dryers are available to borrow!
You’ll be handed a basket with the dryer and the air conditioner remote, which you return when you leave.
It’s so convenient that you can drop in spontaneously without worrying about forgetting anything!
All rooms come with air conditioning and heating!
There’s even a vanity with a little accessory stand — those small thoughtful touches are lovely♡
Our family often stops by on the way home from Greenland Amusement Park or whenever we’re heading toward Tamana (●^o^●)
My daughter went once and instantly fell in love — now she’s always asking, “Can we go to the water slide hot spring?!”♡
Honestly, the water slide family baths are surprisingly addictive for adults too!
Gather the whole family and head over for some splashy fun and total relaxation♫
