The Original “Works Sand” (Works Sandwich)
Β· Choose between Nanban or Yangnyeom flavor!
The “Works Sand” takes its name from the food truck itself β Works Smile. With a name like that, how could you not be curious to try it (>.<)y-~
Works Smile Recommended Menu
Naturally, I had to try the famous “Works Sand” (^3^)/ β on the left in the photo.
And I grabbed a Karaage Stick too. β on the right.
From the top, it doesn’t really look like a sandwich β it just looks like a piece of fried food. But check it out from the side andβ¦
Wait, is that fried food sandwiched inside more fried food?? β I know, my reaction was a bit confused too (>.<)y-~
Let’s dig in (^O^)
The outside is wonderfully crispy, and the chicken nanban tucked inside is moist and saucy with that signature tangy-sweet glaze.
It was such a unique experience that my taste buds couldn’t quite process it on the first biteβ¦
One more bite and finally β my brain caught up with the flavor!
The crispy outer layer is actually like a thin korokke (Japanese-style croquette).
Imagine biting into a thin, crispy croquette and juicy karaage at the same time β and there’s even shredded cabbage tucked inside, so you get your veggies too. The “Works Sand” really is a clever creation (*^.^*)
The taste?
Of course!
A perfect ten on the deliciousness scale (^3^)/
The Karaage Stick was the kids’ pick.
Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside β they loved it so much they asked for seconds (>.<)y-~
We also ordered the floats, and everyone was beyond satisfied. With prices this reasonable, it really is a fantastic value (*^.^*)
