Introducing Mr. Burger

Today I’m taking you to Oyano-machi, Kamiamakusa City, to a delightful little spot called
Mr. Burger.Head south on the Amakusa Pearl Line (National Route 266) and you’ll find it near the Oyano Post Office.

Heads up — the street in front of the shop is one-way, so drive carefully!
Parking is available right next to the shop.

Look for the cute orange sign — you can’t miss it!
Step inside and you’re greeted by a wonderfully retro space filled with charming illustrations and vintage-style posters!

Seating is limited, so most customers seem to grab their burgers to go.
Every burger is cooked to order, right in front of you on the griddle — what a treat!

Get this — Mr. Burger has been serving up smiles for 44 years! Incredible!

Since the owner runs the shop solo, weekend waits can stretch close to an hour…
A quick tip: call ahead to place your order and your visit will go much more smoothly.
My son and I love sitting at the counter, chatting with the friendly owner while we watch our burgers being made.

Honestly, the wait is half the fun!
“It makes me so happy when kids who came here years ago come back as parents with their own children,” the owner shared with us.

It’s seriously hefty and incredibly satisfying!
The plump, popular shrimp cutlet pairs beautifully with the potato salad layered inside — just delicious!

The customizable “Double ¥500” offers fantastic value and is my absolute top recommendation!The fries arrive piping hot from the fryer, and the kids couldn’t stop reaching for more.
