Minette: A Food Truck Serving Seasonal Crepes Loaded with Kumamoto-Grown Fruits
2024.02.16

A Sarukuma writer visits “Minette,” a charming crepe food truck in Kumamoto, and shares a hands-on report. We’ve also rounded up family-friendly tips, access info, and opening hours.
Introducing Minette
Hello travelers! I’m Aikero, a writer for Sarukuma.
Today I’m excited to introduce a delightful food truck called Minette.
A vibrant red tapestry with the name “Minette” shining in elegant gold lettering, paired with a clean, minimalist white food truck — it’s hard to miss.
Minette is a fruit crepe shop, but…
“Aren’t fruit crepes just crepes with fruit inside?”
That’s what you’d think, right?
Well, Minette is anything but ordinary (●^o^●)
What makes them special? Almost all the fruits they use are grown right here in Kumamoto Prefecture!
The owner personally visits local farms to source them.
And here’s the kicker — the amount of fruit is incredible!
It may be called a crepe, but the fruit is the real star.
You can feel the fruit-forward philosophy just by looking at the menu (●^o^●)
They even credit the specific farms where each fruit comes from!
For seasonal limited-edition crepes, check their Instagram!
Reservations are also accepted via DM (^^)/
Of course, classic crepes are also on offer ♪
Back in the day, whenever I spotted a crepe stand at a Japanese festival, I’d always go straight for the chocolate-banana option…
Oreo cookies — a versatile dessert ingredient that goes with everything!
Not in the mood for a crepe? They also offer affordable ice cream options!
Tissues and hand sanitizer are thoughtfully provided — a really nice touch!
There’s even a trash bin so you can say a polite “gochisousama deshita” (thanks for the meal) and toss your wrappers as you go ♪
Payment options include cash and QR-code mobile payments.
Minette’s Recommended Menu

Calling all strawberry lovers!
Fresh Strawberry Crepe — available December through May — ¥750
There are three varieties to choose from, but I went with the Strawberry Crepe with Homemade Strawberry Sauce!
The fruit easily steals the spotlight, but here’s a secret —
Minette’s crepe wrapper itself is wonderfully chewy and delicious!
Honestly, I’ve been a fan for over a year and a half — whenever the timing works out, I track them down (〃▽〃)
If you also love watching crepes being made, you’re my kind of person (●^o^●) lol
This crepe is generously packed with three whole strawberries,
and the homemade sauce makes the love for fruit shine through every bite!
This time I drove all the way from central Kumamoto City out to Misumi just to catch them — yes, I’m that dedicated lol
How many times have I been fooled by “I won’t eat any”…
The little strawberry thief devoured almost all of them on me (T_T)
But hey, watching them eat with such joy is its own reward ♪
They also offer mini-sized crepes — perfect for kids! (^^)/
It’s no exaggeration to say these are crepes designed to showcase the fruit. Highly recommended for anyone craving a satisfying, fruit-packed treat in Kumamoto (^○^)
