Today we’re featuring Uchitsuboi, Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City, home to
[Bond Curry].

While they were offering takeout in March, finally! their Grand Opening took place on April 3rd (*^-^*)
Here’s the location!

Head straight down the road past Tsuboi Kindergarten and turn left at the end (*^-^*)

After about 20 meters, you’ll see “Meitokukan” on your left.

Spotted the “Curry” banner!!
Bond Curry is just down the path on the left side of Meitokukan!

I’m so excited to see what kinds of curry await 💛

Parking is available at nearby coin parking lots.

As you walk along the path… what a charming traditional Japanese house cafe-style exterior! ✨

It has a relaxed, nostalgic, and welcoming atmosphere.

This is the entrance to Bond Curry.
There’s no step at the entrance, so it’s accessible for strollers and wheelchairs ✨
After admiring the exterior, my stomach started rumbling, so let’s head inside (^^♪

Wow 💛 What a stylish interior renovated from a traditional Japanese house.
There are 20 seats inside.
The space is full of warmth, with the impressive presence of pillars and beams unique to traditional Japanese architecture and the abundant use of wood throughout.

I have a weakness for limited-quantity items!! Right in front of me was the “Blissful Bond Curry”

Of course I’ll go with the recommended dish! ♪

Limited-quantity ‘Blissful Bond Curry’ – 1,560 yen

For my child, I ordered the “Karaage Set Meal (5 pieces of fried chicken)” – 780 yen.

Here it comes! 🎵 The Blissful Bond Curry 🍛

Just look at this! The curry is piled high with delicious-looking meat and vegetables.

Beef steak, chicken drumettes, braised pork belly, paprika, sweet potato, eggplant, soft-boiled egg topping — the meat trio has incredible presence and is heaven for meat lovers.

It also comes with a salad and dessert, so the value is well beyond the price!

The toppings are practically tumbling off the spoon as I take my first bite, and…

The slow-simmered curry combined with beef and soft-boiled egg softens the spicy kick into something more mellow.

You can enjoy flavor variations by trying it with and without the egg, or pairing different ingredients — making it the most satisfying highlight dish

It’s hearty but so delicious you’ll devour it in no time!

‘Green Curry’ with chicken and bamboo shoots – 900 yen

The sharp heat of green chili peppers combined with coconut milk creates a mellow yet spicy curry
A great pick for the ladies 💛

The karaage (Japanese fried chicken) has been popular since their takeout days! The karaage set meal I ordered for my child looks amazing too.

My kid polished off all 5 pieces in no time! lol

Besides the karaage, it comes with a generous salad, miso soup, and rice.

I tried a piece of karaage right away and the outside was crispy, the inside tender, and juicy meat juices burst out with every bite
“That crispy chicken skin is just so good,” I overheard someone say (*^-^*)

Children’s curry isn’t currently on the menu, so we recommend the karaage set meal, daily set meal, or à la carte items for kids.

This is the takeout version, but
you can practically see the crispiness 😍 It’s hearty and satisfying — my child loved it.

The owner aspires to create a community diner beloved by locals.

Previously, they ran a fully reservation-based wild game (jibie) restaurant at a different location.
Going forward, they’re also considering incorporating vegetables from community farms.
The owner was very friendly and chatted with us warmly (*^-^*)
