Introducing Matsushima Sports Park Children’s Plaza
Hello travelers! This is Suno, writer for Sarukuma.
Today we’re spotlighting a hidden gem located in Matsushima-machi, Kamiamakusa City β
Matsushima Sports Park Children’s Plaza.
After crossing the Amakusa No. 5 Bridge, skip the toll road and turn left. Continue along National Route 266, and you’ll soon spot the park on your left.
A convenient “Yume Mart Matsushima” supermarket is right nearby for picking up snacks and drinks.
There’s a spacious, easy-to-park free parking lot too.
For the Children’s Plaza, Parking Lot No. 2 is the closest option!
Near the tennis courts and baseball field, you’ll find benches and an open lawn area perfect for relaxing.
Beside the separate men’s and women’s restrooms, there are two vending machines β handy for staying hydrated.
The play area is enclosed with a locked gate to keep animals out β peace of mind for parents!
Covered benches let you watch the kids play while staying out of the sun or rain.
Outside the fence, there are two red basket-style swings and two blue inclusive-style swings.
What is inclusive playground equipment? It’s equipment designed so that children with and without disabilities can play together joyfully. Inclusive parks like this are becoming more common throughout Japan in recent years.
It’s wonderful to see the concept of barrier-free design evolving into something everyone can enjoy!
Here’s the size when a 5-year-old boy hops aboard.
The harness keeps little bodies safely supported!
There are also drinking fountains and hand-washing stations near the swings.
