About the Park

Today I’m taking you to Tsukinoura, Minamata City, Kumamoto Prefecture, to explore “Tsukinoura Fureai Park”.

Set on a small rise above a quiet residential neighborhood, you’ll find Tsukinoura Fureai Park.

Here’s the park map ＼(^o^)／

The parking lot is generous, with space for 27 cars.

The restrooms are clean and include an accessible multipurpose stall.
There are also two extra parking spaces right next to the restrooms.

A single hand-washing station sits in the middle of the park.

You’ll also find covered benches for shaded breaks.

Several more benches are scattered around the perimeter — perfect for a relaxing pause (^-^)
There’s no vending machine inside the park itself, but you’ll spot one on the way up to the parking lot, so you can grab a drink before heading in (^-^)

The biggest draw is undeniably
the breathtaking ocean view from this hilltop park ＼(^o^)／

Tables and chairs are set up too — the perfect spot to settle in with a snack and watch the sea after a play session (^-^)

From here you can look out over Koijishima Island, Eco Park, and Minamata Port (^-^)
The daytime panorama is fantastic, but the sunset view over the water is absolutely magical (^-^)/

And when the Hisatsu Orange Railway trains glide along the coastline below, the scene becomes pure travel magic (^-^)

For the kids, there’s a slide to play on (^-^)

Plus, three different outdoor exercise machines for the grown-ups.

From an adult’s eye level, you can work out while gazing at the sea (^-^)
It really is the most blissful way to spend an afternoon (⌒0⌒)／~~

There’s also a big open lawn — plenty of room for kids to run wild (⌒0⌒)／~~

A walking path circles the lawn, so you can stroll, jog, or just take in the view as you go (^q^)
