About the Cafe

Hello there!

I’m Binako, a writer for SaruKuma,
and I have an unstoppable craving to eat
something day or night, anytime I’m awake!

Today, I’m excited to introduce a charming spot located in
Ichinoseki, Minamiaso Village, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“Himitsu Kichi Gon” (Secret Base Gon).

This unique cafe is tucked right inside Nakamatsu Station — a fun stop for travelers exploring the scenic Minamiaso Railway.

The moment you step inside, your heart will start racing with excitement.

The heroes are here to greet you!

The menu is also displayed outside,
so you can decide what you’d like to take away before even stepping in.

Inside, there’s a single table seat plus a counter — cozy and intimate.

Manga and figurines line the shelves,
turning even the time spent eating into a fun adventure.

In the back, there’s a kids’ play space
where children can have fun while parents relax —
truly the best of both worlds for families.

This is honestly such a thoughtful touch.

Through the window, you’ll spot
a giant hero figure standing tall outside.

It’s incredibly exciting —
you might even feel like running over to give it a hug!

Large: 1,300 yen
“Won’t Fill You Up” Curry: 650 yen

Every item on the menu sounds tempting —
you’ll want to say, “I’ll have one of everything!”

This time, I went with takeout and ordered:
Gon’s Curry Mini: 350 yen

The rice is brown rice (genmai), which thrilled me —
I absolutely love brown rice!

Right after pouring the sauce, I noticed something clever…

Pop open!
The accordion-style container unfolds into a plate —
such a stylish and thoughtful design!

Mmmm…
Delicious. Amazing. The best.

The smoked wild boar alone is incredible,
and the chewy texture of the brown rice takes the joy to another level.

The blend of spicy and gentle flavors
stirs your appetite and leaves you feeling deeply satisfied.

The mini size is also brilliant —
because it doesn’t completely fill you up,
you can savor that warm, contented feeling afterward.

Next time, I definitely want to dine in!
