Today, I’m excited to introduce you to a unique spot located in
Tsukure, Kikuyo Town, Kikuchi District, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“Ayun TERRACE -Beauty Cafe-“

This place is a wonderful hybrid concept — a relaxing spa combined with a stylish cafe.
Lunchtime is especially popular, so making a reservation in advance is highly recommended!

There’s on-site parking with about 8 spaces available — convenient for travelers exploring Kumamoto by car.

As soon as you step inside,
you’re enveloped in the calm, soothing atmosphere of a spa, with the cafe entrance right in front of you.
The spa is on the right-hand side.

Inside the cafe, you’ll find both counter and table seating —
perfect for solo travelers who want to enjoy a leisurely meal.

In the back, there’s a large table seating up to 8 people,
which makes it an ideal venue for group gatherings or a girls’ day out.

The menu is divided into a lunch menu and a cafe menu.
The lunch menu (on the left) is available from 11:00 to 14:00.

This time, I tried:
Mokomoko Soft Serve — 380 yen
Roasted Soybean Topping — 50 yen

True to its name (“mokomoko” means fluffy in Japanese),
the soft serve has a beautifully fluffy shape, generously topped with crunchy roasted soybeans.

Even the spoon is stylish — a perfect Instagram moment!

I started by tasting the soft serve on its own.

Rich, perfectly sweet,
and absolutely delicious!
It melts smoothly in your mouth and feels incredibly creamy!

Paired with the roasted soybeans,
the flavor combination becomes truly outstanding!
The crunchy texture of the soybeans adds a delightful contrast,
releasing a deep, nutty umami flavor with each bite.

And here’s the best part — when you scoop it up,
it stretches surprisingly!
This stretchiness might just be the secret to its rich, indulgent texture.

The melting milk flavor pairs beautifully
with the aroma and crunch of the soybeans.

I highly recommend adding the topping for the full experience!
