This is Saa-mama, writer for 〝SaruKuma〟.

Today I’d like to introduce you to a wonderful spot located in
Egoshi, Minami Ward, Kumamoto City:
“French Bistro Le Brillant.”

You’ll find the restaurant right next to the Nishimatsuya store in Egoshi — a handy landmark for first-time visitors.

It shares the same lot as the popular Nakatsu Karaage Moriyama (a famous Japanese fried chicken shop), so the area is a real foodie hotspot.

Parking is only available in front of the restaurant, with about 8 spaces — perfect if you’re driving in from elsewhere in Kumamoto.

Inside, you’ll find counter seats and table seating,

and there’s even more table seating on the 2nd floor,
plus a kids’ space with play mats —
making this a wonderfully welcoming French restaurant for families with little ones ^ – ^♪

The restaurant is always lively and buzzing,
and it’s so popular that reservations fill up fast — be sure to book ahead! (*^^*)

Recommended Menu

Choice Course (fish or meat) — 1,700 yen

Full Course (fish + meat) — 2,500 yen

Steak Course (steak as the main) — 2,700 yen

Le Brillant Course (fish or meat with 2 desserts; +800 yen for fish + meat)

Each course is a luxurious full-course meal that includes an appetizer, soup, bread or rice, a main dish, and dessert ♬

There’s also a full drinks menu to pair with your meal!

This time, I tried the Meat Choice Course (1,700 yen).

Right from the appetizer, every plate was as beautiful as it was delicious,

The sweet potato potage was
rich, naturally sweet, and beautifully accented with cinnamon — absolutely heavenly (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

Roti of Pork Shoulder with Whole-Grain Mustard Sauce

The sauce was perfectly to my taste,
and even though the pork was thick-cut, it was so tender it practically melted in my mouth ♬

And for dessert, the one I had been dreaming of…♡
Mont Blanc!!!

It was as artistic in appearance as it was delicious —
the outer cream had a deep, unmistakable chestnut flavor,
with silky cream and crispy meringue hidden inside.
From appetizer to dessert, every bite was perfection — truly an unforgettable meal ♡
