Today I’m excited to introduce you to
Cafe Bagel One, a wonderful little spot located in
Kawayo, Minamiaso Village, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture.

Confession time: this place holds a special spot in my heart.
I’ve been coming here ever since I was a little kid!

My mom would stop by regularly to stock up on bagels
for our family breakfasts.

In other words!!!!

I literally grew up on these bagels.

There’s outdoor seating too,
so you can soak in those gorgeous Aso views while you eat ♪

Indoor seating is available too,
and on my visit the cafe was buzzing with happy customers ♪

And there’s a self-service water station — always a nice touch ♪

They even provide kids’ chairs, making it super easy
for families with little ones to dine here comfortably (*´Д｀)

They also sell frozen bagels,
perfect for taking home as a delicious souvenir ( *´艸｀)

Frozen bagels can be kept at room temperature for up to 3 days ♪

Freshly Baked Plain Bagel — 140 yen

And let me tell you, this bagel is INCREDIBLE!!!

with everything from hearty, satisfying options to sweet treats ♪

You can also choose between single items or lunch sets, making ordering a breeze (*´Д｀)

Toasted Marshmallow Chocolate Sandwich — 440 yen

Aso Spicy Sausage — 650 yen

Akaushi Beef Burger — 650 yen

All seriously mouth-watering options (*´Д｀)

Here’s the drink menu ^^

You can choose hot or iced, with options ranging from coffees to juices.

And there’s even a kids’ drink option
that comes with a mini jelly for just 220 yen.

Pure perfection!

They also sell their original cream cheese.

Honestly, I’d happily eat it straight from the container ←

And here we go — I picked one up!

Yes, yes, this is the one ♪

This is my longtime favorite — the Cream Cheese Sandwich for 330 yen!

While every menu item is delicious,
this simple classic is hands-down my favorite (*´Д｀)

That perfect contrast between the chewy interior
and the crispy exterior — absolute magic…

It’s loaded with cream cheese (*´Д｀)
And the cream cheese itself is just sublime.

Ahhhhh, this is heaven.

Soft, chewy, and so satisfying.

The bagel dough has a subtle natural sweetness, making the bread delicious all on its own.

Honestly, you don’t even need any toppings to enjoy it.

I can’t recommend this place enough!
