Hello, travelers!
This is Asukarando from Sarukuma.

Today I’m excited to introduce you to
Kurokami, Chuo Ward, Kumamoto City, home to
“Monreve Sweets Shop”.

A house? No, it’s actually a shop! (^-^)/

This charming bakery is run by a lovely husband-and-wife team who specialize in beautifully crafted 3D cakes.

There’s parking available both on the side and in front of the shop.

Located along the street near Kumamoto University, the landmark to look for is this signboard. Walk in past it and you’ll spot the shop tucked at the back.

Step inside, and a glass case full of beautiful cakes greets you (^-^)/

The salted cream puffs look incredible! (^o^)

The shop’s top recommendation is the Mont Blanc (^-^)/

You might wonder, “Is this a cake shop or a craft store?”
The interior is filled with charming handmade goods,
perfect for pairing with cakes or baked treats as a thoughtful gift.

You’ll find placemats, face masks,
pouches, and lots of other adorable little items.

There are even leather goods on display.

The accessories are super cute too! (^-^)

Yes, this cake shop has a craft selection that easily rivals its cakes!

Of course, the main attractions are still the cakes and baked treats (^^;
The lineup of baked sweets is wonderfully complete too.

Cash and PayPay are accepted as payment methods.

Recommended Menu

For my son’s birthday,
I ordered a 3D cake of his favorite — the Hercules beetle.
Since he was turning 4, I also requested a number “4” icing cookie
and fresh fruit toppings. (These come at an additional cost.)

Number cookie: 300 yen

Fruit: 500 yen

Not only does it look amazing — it tastes truly delicious too.

This is our family’s favorite cake shop.

In the past, I’ve also ordered a Doctor Yellow shinkansen cake
and even a DSLR camera-shaped 3D cake for a photography lover.
I’ve been a loyal repeat customer, but since the shop is run by just the husband and wife,
they can only take a limited number of orders, so
I highly recommend booking well in advance.

The shop’s flyer features lots of cake examples,
which can help inspire ideas when you’re placing your order.

You can also browse a variety of cakes through their LINE and Instagram accounts (^o^)

Here are some of the cakes I’ve ordered before.

This one is the Doctor Yellow shinkansen cake — every boy’s dream! (^o^)

And this one is the DSLR camera cake (^o^)

The detail and craftsmanship are simply outstanding,
making every family celebration extra special! (^-^)/

If you tell them about the hobbies or favorite things of the person you’re celebrating,
they’re sure to love the result (^-^)

Make your next special occasion in Kumamoto truly unforgettable! (^-^)/
