Today, I’d like to introduce you to a delightful little cake shop tucked away in Toyooka, Koshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture — “Casuel Rencontre”.

The shop is easy to spot thanks to its large signage and the wide road in front. The sleek black sign gives it a chic, sophisticated vibe!

The shop occupies a corner of a private home, creating a cozy, intimate atmosphere inside that’s truly lovely.

The owner welcomed us with a warm smile and was incredibly kind — exactly the kind of personal touch you hope to find at a small local bakery!

Prices are wonderfully reasonable, and the sweets on display look absolutely adorable!

There’s also an impressive variety of rare and unusual baked goods here! Many were treats I’d never seen before, which made choosing nearly impossible (in the best way).

I want to try every single one! The handmade quality of each cake adds even more charm to the cozy atmosphere of the shop.

Can you believe you can get this many canelés for that price?! As someone who’s recently fallen in love with canelés, this was an absolute dream come true.
