Today I’m introducing a hidden gem located in
Shitamizu, Ueki-machi, Kita Ward, Kumamoto City,
“No. 2 Block Park” (Nigo Gaiku Park).
It doesn’t show up on Google Maps just yet,
but you’ll find it right near the Ueki-machi Chamber of Commerce.

Located close to Direx Ueki Store,
this is the kind of park where you can casually stop by on your way home from shopping.
Since it was completed not long ago, everything still feels fresh and new.

There’s playground equipment kids will love, fitness gear that’s perfect for shaking off that workout-deficit feeling,
and even a dedicated walking and jogging course.

Here’s the playground equipment area.
There are even pieces designed for the smallest visitors to enjoy safely.

And here’s the fitness equipment for parents.
There’s a waist-twister, a hanging bar,
and even a foot-pressure massage stone.
A quick heads-up — the foot massage stone really gets you, but the relief afterward feels amazing!

The restrooms are brand-new and spotlessly clean — Western-style, too.
There’s also a hand-washing station right by the entrance.

For such a small park, there are surprisingly plenty of benches,
and a generous covered area to escape the sun or a sudden shower.

And here’s the walking and jogging course.
The surface isn’t asphalt, so it’s gentler on your knees and you won’t tire as quickly.
