Today, I’m excited to introduce you to a hidden gem located in
Suya, Koshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture:
“Chobo-yaki Lamp”.

The shop was bustling with kids and families when I arrived ^^
With a school right across the street, you can really feel how loved this place is by the local community.

The parking lot is conveniently located behind the shop!

There are outdoor tables, so on sunny days you can sit back and enjoy your meal in the fresh air ^^

They have drinks too!

Bottled drinks: 110 yen

Canned juice: 80 yen

Such friendly prices — perfect for a quick refreshment (#^.^#)

And what kid wouldn’t love kakigori (Japanese shaved ice)?

At just 150 yen each, parents can happily say “sure, go ahead!” without breaking the bank ( *´艸｀)

Horse Tendon / Squid & Shrimp Tama / Shrimp & Squid Tama: 380 yen

Pork Tama / Squid Tama / Shrimp Tama: 330 yen

Incredibly affordable!
If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular here in no time.

The other menu items are equally budget-friendly with plenty of variety, so you can mix and match without worry ( *´艸｀)

I was genuinely amazed.

This time, I ordered:

Shrimp Tama: 330 yen

Squid Tama: 330 yen

Look at this overflowing portion…
And it looks absolutely delicious…

The aroma is incredible (*´Д｀)

It’s making my mouth water (*´Д｀)

The shrimp were plump and large — my shrimp-loving child
was munching them down like they were a beverage!

And there’s plenty of vegetables too, which I really appreciate (´;ω;｀)

Next up, Squid Tama…

OOOPEN!!!

Just like the shrimp version, it’s loaded with crisp, fresh cabbage
with a satisfying crunch — absolutely delicious!

The batter is thin yet has a wonderfully chewy texture
that makes it really easy to eat!

The squid pieces are large and generously portioned.

This much happiness for just 330 yen is unbeatable.

I could easily eat two more!
I highly, highly recommend it.

I dined at the outdoor table, and the relaxed atmosphere
of the shop made it such a calming, peaceful place to enjoy a meal!
